"Feel Good" Part 2

From the smooth and simply shows of appreciation to the creative and kinky expressions of attraction Ms. Nikks dropped another blog that utilizes technology in a way I co-sign 100% Enjoy.....

We have to work hard at keeping our romance alive sometimes, we can’t always do the same old same old. For those women who are too shy to do certain things, there are a million other women who are not shy and will do what you won’t do for your man. I’m just saying. Don’t shoot the messenger. I felt like sharing, so here goes. It’s simple, easy enough, unless you have no rhythm. Write a note for your man instructing him to go to his room or living room (preferably) and turn on his computer. Have him log on to msn or yahoo, whichever has webcam capabilities. You with me?

You’ll be waiting online in another room. You will have the following with you:

1. Bowls containing: Caramel, Chocolate, Whipped Cream, Vanilla Mousse.

2. Pineapples (you are what you eat :P ), grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melons, kiwis, peaches, and cherries.

3. Silk scarves or neckties.

4. Lil’ Wayne’s ‘Grown Man’ for background music. Yes I said Lil’ Wayne!
**NightFall note......no Lil Wayne! Y'all better switch that up.lol

You will invite him to join you in a webcam conversation. You’ll be naked. Keep the webcam on your face. Talk to him about his day, flirt with him. Ask him how you can make him feel better or top off his day. He’ll probably suggest something freaky. Flirt with him. Play along. Aim the cam a little lower, to the breasts, ask him if that will do? Take a fruit dip it in some whipped cream and eat it seductively. Next ask him to join you in the room, but he has to do what you say. One he agrees let him in. Tie him to a chair or bed posts with the scarves/ties. Blindfold him. Make him guess which fruits and flavors you’re feeding him. Once that’s over, dip various body parts in the flavors and let him taste it, a finger or two, your lips, your breasts, but save the kitty for last. We’re going to do something fun with that.

Before you take the blindfold off, pay attention, insert a maraschino cherry in the kitty. Keep the stem out. Lol. It’s okay, you’ll be fine. (Gotta thank Mr. Grown & Sexy, Jerald Howard for that trick). Take the remaining whipped cream and spread it all around the Hello kitty. Take the blindfold off, keep him tied up. Play Lil’ Wayne, give him a lap dance. If you’ve perfected the booty-clap, show him what you working with. By this time he should be begging to be untied. Dance the entire song and then untie him. Undress him, YOU undress him. Have him lay down on the bed and if you don’t go down, well he ain’t gonna find that Cherry because he won’t return the favor. So go ahead and do the damn thing. Tell him you have a surprise for him, but he has to find it, point down south. Don’t surprise him by pushing out a cherry in his mouth. Hahaha. Let him know something is there for him. He has to fetch that cherry! So make sure you know you’re man is into that kind of thing. Some of them, especially island men, act like they don’t do them things, please. He’ll eat it like when Oprah and KFC gave away free chicken. Negroes be lining up for that sh**. If your man doesn’t, find you an American, preferably a southern gentleman, love them some peaches n’ cream. I’m just sayin’…

Enjoy the rest of your evening, that’s as much as I’m gonna say about that, like my mullet wearing childhood hero Captain Planet says, “THE POWER IS YOURS!” *Cue theme song*

Act like you care......

So earlier in the month I wrote about trimmin' down the amount of I deal with. More so holding my friends accountable for their ends of the friendship. So one of these important folk that I took a big step back from contacted me on Sunday. Well replied to me cause I pushed a happy birthday message to her through her daughter. I'm not rude so if I'm down for you I'll still so some birthday love. Anyway, I got a thank u message and a small back and forth ensued. Basically the 4 months of silence is replied to with I was sending you messages but not getting any reply.......sorry I dont buy it. This person had hit me twice in 4 month and each time was only when I went through her daughter. I mean hell she could have been dead for all I know. So I'ma find out for curiosity sake what was really up and keep it moving. I'm tired of taking friendship more to heart and more seriously then others. Being made to think that because I actually care that much it's the exception to whats normal.

Ok......rant over.....lol

An Ugly NY Memory: PR Parade 2000

It's 50+ minutes....That was some of the grimiest shit I've seen. While my boy and I had our cameras, we stayed within the actual parade path and didnt touch anyone beyond whatever mutual love was shown to us. I haven't been to the parade since then minus 2 occasions for promotional work.

Monsters Among Us.....

Shit like this is real hard for me to attempt digest. It makes me think of the dumb things I've done. It makes me wonder if some people are beyond saving. It's always been said that we have been more successful at eliminating each other then slavery, segregation and police brutality combined...

I can only pray for this boy's family and hope they can channel their emotions better then I know I could if it was my brother that was murdered.

In the City that gave us Obama, politically speaking, we get the harshest of reminders that for every one of us that reaches to the top there are still so many more floundering at the bottom.

You date me, You date my Blog too????

Girl likes Guy, Guy Likes...good.

Girl loves to blog, Guy not so much......could be trouble???

Are there rules to dating a blogger? Clearly it's nothing that's written in a mystical book but the truth is that a lot of people share a hell of a lot of personal info on these blogs and you can't realistically think everyone that is referenced in this blogs is happy about it. Do you tell your partner that you blog? If so how far along into things do you bring it up? Do you keep it too yourself? Do you keep it but exclude specific details? SO many way to handle this.

Many people say. "I blog is just like a diary its how I express myself. It's therapeutic."

OK, that's 1/2 true. This blog thing is not a diary by original design if you keep it open to the public. Repeat...Public access nullifies the "this is my diary" logic. For example if you say "I have a diary that I keep with me all the time and I write my deepest feelings in it." Yes people know you have it and technically where it is but they don't have access. Now If you say "Yeah I blog at www.blahblah.blogspot" then they can see it without your further approval.I say this under the definition that a diary is a personal usually secretive personal log.

So on the flip side of thing, can a significant other make request/demands on what is put in a blog in relation to him/her and the relationship in question?

I'll keep it funky. In regards to relationships, if you put it out in the public I will find it(invited or not) and I'll read it.If it's available to strangers then I feel no issues in reading it. I've done it before and I'd do it again.I think you can't have it both ways. You can't be publicly private, at least not on many things.

Has a blog ever come back to haunt you? Have you ever had to choose between your online expression and your offline interactions?

Technical Foul for Twittering

So apparently the mass "thinking out loud" that is Twitter has pushed the NBA, much like the NFL to put a few limitations on the public expressions of their players and personnel.

Via ESPN (click for full story)

The NBA will this week introduce what it considers "minimal" guidelines for players, coaches and team officials when using Twitter and other social networking sites, according to sources with knowledge of the policy.

The primary restriction of the policy is expected to prevent various team representatives from tweeting during games, after the stir caused late last season when Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva, then with Milwaukee, tweeted from the Bucks' locker room during halftime.

One source described the forthcoming policy as "very minimal" and "less stringent" than the guidelines announced earlier this month by the NFL, which now regards players, coaches and football operations personnel -- or any third party representing them -- to be in violation of league rules if they use social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook from 90 minutes before kickoff through the end of the standard post-game access period for media interviews.....

..Sometimes it's better and less expensive to just shut up.

Ms Nikks Drops a "Feel Good" Jewel

You know I need to provide a lil positivity in the middle of the madness, so straight for Ms.Nikks blog comes will reminder to treat that special guy in your life every so often and show him that his struggle isn't in vain. Here are her words and please drop by her spot for more jewels.

“Is there any boys around that know how to make a girl feel? That wanna make a girl feel, make her feel good?” -Teairra Mari

I remember hearing this song a few years ago and it made me think of how much we women complain. Myself included, hence the we. We are always complaining about not understanding men or why they do the things they do. We are a miserable set of beings, us women. Some most days a man can’t catch a break! We nag, bitch, whine, and complain about a lot of shit.

For generations the Black man has suffered attack upon attack on his character, strength, and masculinity. Not giving them an excuse, but watching your women raped, your children ripped from their mother’s breasts, and auctioned like farm equipment can do that to any man. He had to stand still and watch. The Black woman had to be strong and hold it together. So we grew up with generations of women saying “I don’t need you, I can do for myself!” We need to stop that talk and lift the man up. Learn how to let a man be a man.

Sometimes we need to do the things for them that we want them to do for us. I suggest the following for starters:

1. Run him a hot bath when he gets homes.

2. Next time he’s at the kitchen counter or looking out the window thinking, go up behind him and put our arms around him. Hold him tight. (Approach with caution, if he’s been in the big house, we don’t want flashbacks of Big Mike trying to be up on him. I’m jus’ sayin…)

3. Let him rest between your legs on the couch and rest his head on your bosom.

4. Watch him while he sleeps and tell him how peaceful he looks when he’s asleep.

5. Send him flowers or a card, a blank card, fill it with your own thoughts of him. What you love about him, your fondest memory of him, etc.

Those are just a few suggestions to MAKE HIM FEEL GOOD! A man might not be able to express exactly what he wants from us, but at the end of the day, they want the same thing most human beings want and need. LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, COMPASSION, AND ACCEPTANCE. Stay tuned for Pt. II

In the presence of Greatness

From Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Rick Rubin up high to Dmx, KRS-1, Redman, Method Man and Eminem on stage, along with the A class gathering of hip hop personalities throughout the venue, it was pure heaven for me last like night at the Brooklyn academy of music. This years Hip Hop Honors, was a well deserved dedication to Def Jam and while I won't give away what happened prior to the Oct. 13th airing, I will say that there are a number of great moments not just in terms of performance but also in regards to insight and personal stories given throughout the show. And for me personally it's always an enjoyable trip down memory lane to see and music to links so directly to my youth. It was a memorable night that I wont forget anytime soon.

And apparently Ja and X patched things up.Nice.

You can drop by Miss Info later today for a more concise write up on last nights events.

....I understand it at times.......

Even though I don't condone it and have too much of a conscious to do it. I so understand why some folk hustle in the streets for their income....

Torture....

We all have the ability to hurt. Causing pain is in us long before the concept of forgiveness. But torture is to take delight and placing a person or persons in a position of pain or discomfort. Many times they are in no immediate position to stop this torture either.

I laid in my bed last night feeling that sort of pain. I'm a protector. I always have been and I always will. "Guardian" inked on my arm for over a decade. And out stand of my family there's few a people that fall under that next level of protection. That's the Love circle which is home to my "people". Anyway, last night after reading the blog of one of these people I felt a pain, a confusion and a since of helplessness that was pure torture to me. Cripple a basketball player in his prime then place him front row at the NBA playoffs, bring a new born baby to a woman that just had a miscarriage,etc,etc..you get the point. Watching the hurt and discomfort of my people and not being able to ease it tortures me.

The comic panels I've inserted throughout this post kind of show a dramatic version of what I feel. Coincidentally the black guy in the story is a Jason as well, who is being force to watch the murder of his Love at the hands of this evil undead being. Now obviously, I"m not worried about super powered zombies hurting the person in question but similarly to the comic, when cries of love can't do anything, when faced with the idea of never being able to see or experience interactions with someone that means a lot to you......it's torture.

Now there is a flip side to this. The classic whatever doesn't kill only makes you stronger belief and I do subscribe to that. I forgot who said this to me but I was told that sometimes the biggest test for a person that always wants to help out is knowing when to stand still and let people help themselves. I've always had trouble with that because I ALWAYS act. Even if it puts me in a bad position I'd rather that I be in that spot then them, so that idea is still something I'm working on.

The best thing I can do is remember what Evita told me the other day. That "everything will work itself out." She's real big on the Universe effecting things and the Laws of Attraction and what not. She's doing big things so I'll take her word and try to let life run it's natural course.

It's just hard to watch sometimes.......

Critiquing the attention YOU secretly want.

On many of these blogs the most interesting thing is the comment section. How will folk respond to the thoughts thrown out or at times celebrity "news" that is being reported(recycled in some cases). Sometimes its hate, curiosity or compassion but 1 thing I notice a lot are the "she/he's just crying for attention" bandwagon riders. Every time something out of the ordinary happens that person is "trying too hard" or "Looking for more publicity" and I have to ask myself, How do sooooo many people with no public image or any image worth paying attention to have so much to say about those that do have a public persona?

I'm starting to think that many(not all) of those folk are just deep down envious and picking at something they long far and don't have. Much of this viral world is about the human condition that wants to be seen and acknowledged. And for some seeing other repeatedly in that spotlight hits a sore spot for them. It's basically like saying "I don't get that kind of attention so screw you have getting so much of it"

Don't get it twisted, attention whores are alive and well on and offline but I think we need to turn the skepticism down a bit and reserve it for those that really fit the bill......*cough*Tila Tequila*cough*

LMAO!!!!!!

Look but don't touch.......

The following was a comment made on a Single Black Male blog entry. You can peep it in it's entirety here.

Fellas, if you find a woman who can have emotionless sex, leave her alone. She has issues. I know it’s hard to turn down the easy romp, but trust me, leave her alone...

You, know I think that may be one of the most accurate things I've come across in a good bit. As much as folk say they can do it and as much as men claim they want it. Who has really come across a female that genuinely separates sex and emotion? That seems to go against much of the female nature. Obviously I'm not a female but be it from my boys or my female friends sex has always had some degree of emotion to it. That can vary in respect to the person but in time the longer that relationship maintains its a certain thing that someone will develop feelings stronger then just physical activity.

I don't know, just thinking/blogging out loud...lol

A Great Day For NY Football

Giants beat Cowboys as time expires, 33-31, on field goal by Lawrence Tynes

Rex Ryan's Jets back up all the talk, beat Tom Brady and Patriots, 16-9

I'm not the biggest football fan out there but it always feels good after some NY victories!!!

(I'm a Knick fan I need as much sports positivity as possible)

Rambling....

Back at home.......Allowing thoughts to drift and questions to fester. After a refreshing guys night out. I return with a mind that is open to what I have to change within myself to bring about improvement. I look at my interactions with people and I wonder why I do think the way I do? What must be altered to get better results. Who should be cut off, who should I communicate less with or who requires a change in handling. It always makes me pause how the pursuit is only for happiness to be felt yet so many times it results in me with my head down, falling just short of my goal. I'm all encompassing in terms of my thought process, memories and actions. It's a natural reaction for me to think of how my actions have effects that go beyond me and may effect those that matter most to me. Yet on many occasions I don't see that in others. Most actions I witness seem to occur with no further interest other then the immediate reaction to them. This is usually the case because when I introduce the pretty simply connection between their moves and my reactions I got "oh" and "I never thought of that"....this makes me wonder, is ignorance bliss?

Would I be more content if I scaled back my range of my thoughts? Should I be more self centered? Man that would be so hard to do. To flip that which has been instilled in me for the majority of my life at this point and time would be difficult. It is truly a major part of what I define myself by. It is very much what makes me me. Balance, that's what I'm looking for. I've had many personal experiences this year that while I haven't had the crazy heart breaks of years past, life has continued to test my and emotional commitments. Am I ready to settle down, I'd like that to end up as my goal but that isn't where I am just yet. A man not fully accepting of him self and his position will not be the partner and provider he should and could be.

My wants are simple.....Happiness and Love. My demand is basic.....Respect.My needs are everlasting.......God and Family. I'll keep working and embracing all that is me.The good, the bad and ugly. And I'll try to focus a lil more on me and see what that gets me.....

It Took Long Enough.........RR Home Team :)

...a moment to pause......

I was just about to start writing....attempting to collect the flow of my current thoughts and emotions and something hit me. I looked up, let out a deep breath and said no. .......lost in thought.......

I'm not sure what my mood is.I'm not mad, pissed or even frustrated anywhere. I'm not Happy, joyous or excited. I guess I'm in a calm state. An emotional holding pattern just waiting for something to happen. It's a lil "blahzah" with a dose of "whatever" sprinkled with some "Yeah ok".......yes that's very weird and not so descriptive but I guess that's just what it is.

I need my back and wrist to heal so I can get in the gym.

I think I'll go treat myself to a movie and let my mind wonder a bit.

She's back for a Cameo.....

Ok,Ok, after the situation with Mashonda I had to step back from rocking Ms. Keys as my official woman of Hump Day but recently I've been listening to her music like I was in 2002 again and for whatever reason I'm just in a Alicia mood. She's helping improve my mood. :)

Alicia's new song "Doesn't Mean Anything"

Hip Hop Honor's 2009: Def Jam Dedication

Being in the right place at the right time pays off. I'll be front row and center live for the festivities next week.

Every year VH1 tips the hat to rap’s musical, political, and cultural impact with Hip Hop Honors, and our 2009 show keeps that approach alive by saluting the incredible legacy of Def Jam records. It airs on VH1 on Tuesday, October 13, at 9 pm ET/PT.

Tracy Morgan is this year’s host.

VH1’s Hip Hop Honors 2009 is the first time that the show has honored a record label. For 25 years, Def Jam created the stars that pushed hip hop culture forward, including LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Kanye West, Slick Rick, Rick Ross and Rihanna. The men behind the scenes are as legendary as its artists, including Rick Rubin, Russell Simmons, LA Reid and Jay Z. The Def Jam brand didn’t just innovate in music, it also launched a breakthrough comedy show (Def Comedy Jam), a dynamic spoken-word showcase (Def Poetry Jam), and set trends in fashion, film and advertising. Def Jam led a cultural movement that changed the world.

“It is impossible to pay tribute to the best in hip hop without recognizing Def Jam Records. Throughout the years VH1 has honored numerous artists from the Def Jam label, but due to the magnificent impact that Def Jam as a company has made on not only hip hop culture but pop culture as a whole, we thought they definitely deserved the opportunity to be honored,” says Lee Rolontz, EVP of Music Production.

The show will take place in one of hip-hop’s original musical hot beds, New York’s famed borough of Brooklyn, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Lost in the Madness.....an apology has been forgotten!!!!!

While the internets buzz about Kanye and Lil Mama (smh). We have all forgotten the true victim in this. THE COGNAC!!!!!

Mr. West's foolishness will in many parts be blamed on his sorry misuse of this wonderful product, Hennessy. And as a loyal Henny drink I can't let that stand so on behalf of Mr. West, G.O.O.D music, Amber Rose and many more I express my apologies to the horrible press that poor bottle of Cognac is getting.

Are we typing 1st and thinking 2nd?

As Kanye rant#989633 is analyzed and worked over by the media, I like to turn the focus inward and look at us the viewing public and ask that title question.Opinions are a dime a dozen but today we end up seeing many more opinions then ever.

We all have various social pages and whatnot. We have "friends" there for whatever reason with some people being closer to you then others.Today's media has given instantaneous uncensored license to a lot of people that really don't need to be heard from. What I find even more interesting is that through these emotional knee-jerk reactions/comments/twits/whatever you really get to see the true identity of many people. You can be creative with angles and lighting, had some Photoshop to make a nice profile pic, but that online outburst of profanity because of your "loyalty" to Beyonce just made you look a tad ghetto and a lil crazy.

I don't know.I think all this online accessibility is showing me more of people then I really care to see.I can deal with TMI from my usual suspects. But some folk need to back away from the pc.

Back to the Program....

Respect My Authority!!!!!!

This is the attitude I hope President starts laying down on people because some folk are getting WAAAAAAAY to comfy with blatantly disrespecting the man. You know as a black man I deal with a lot but you'd be hard pressed to find a person that would walk up to me and disrespect me to my face. That's just how we are. There are lines you don't cross. With that in mind, the President can't simple slap the shit out of someone sooooo that allow for a lot of "habitual line stepping" (Thanks Charlie Murphy). Last night's Health Care speech was good but should it really be that hard to make sure the citizens of the "most powerful nation on earth" have adequate medical care? Smh, in any case, here is a sample my Super friend Evita's International take on things. She expresses this much better then me....

American's character....jester?!
I sit at my laptop with the lust to continue my memoir, yet the need to respond to President Obama's speech. Being in Japan, MSNBC is typically my late informant on those things political, and today was no different.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/32766830#32766830

The above link is Obama's speech on healthcare.

For fifty-one minutes I watched the most transparent split in legislation, occupy one room, and do everything from give repeat standing ovations, to bolt demeaning epithets to the President.....as he works to make sure every American is covered under health insurance.

This is why, of the character I have seen, I deem America as a jester. We look like clowns. And being about as far away from the United States as humanly possible, it's legitimized and magnified when you are on the outside looking in. You can tell I'm pissed because my vocabulary comes out.

Monthly Plan Sept 09'

After a pretty low key weekend it's back on the grind.

Socially this week is filled with excitement for the release of 2 big Hip Hop albums Blueprint 3 and Only Built for Cuban Linx 2. Thursday night celebration for the Raekwon's album release and the weekend birthday celebrations for Bright Eyes.

In the midst of all that I prepare to set on another fitness journey. I let the closing of my old gym throw me way of course and I'm focused on recapturing my post p90x form of last Aug and in fact surpassing that level. 228lbs is a the goal.

The savings, debt reduction and credit area of my financial plans are going well. I started the year not saving anything and with 1 credit card. I'm now saving weekly and I'm knocking out dept steadily. The big issue is trying to up my income. As we all know the last part of the economy to "improve" is the job market. So I'm on the hunt for at the very least a 2nd job or quality side hustle. People keep asking me to return to the club scene but it really isn't my thing anymore. But we'll see how thing play out. To stay on course for getting my place next year that income jump is VITAL.

On the other side of business, the Omega Nexus is about to enter a new phase as the big push for that animation deal continues. Even though its been a project so many years in the making, the fact that we continue to draw interest and attention is very energizing. Plus what we planned as a 5 part saga has now expanded into 6. More Intellectual property = move value to the company.

As I mentioned last week I finally finished Tony Dungy's Autobiography. I didn't know it was so spiritually based. It's was/is very inspiring to see a man that so wholeheartedly put his life and trust in God no matter how tragic the ordeals he had to do through. Besides that aspect of things. The underlined message of "doing what you do" really hit home. People do so much that can effect you in a negative manner, but that's only if you only them to. It's on you to keep that power and decide how you will react to what position people try to place you in. Just keeping doing you because no can do you better then you can. Power in simplicity. Next book will be The Greatness Guide 2.

There's a lot happening these days but I'm here to refocus and get the job done.

P.S Please take a moment to add the Hip Hop Democrat to your blogroll. I add my writing touch to the good people over there. All support is greatly appreciated.

Bad Boy's Sweet 16

Before the Danity Kane's and Cassie's we had a real powerhouse of Urban musical talent and promise. It's another camp that produced a lot of my youth's soundtrack. Biggie, Craig Mack, 112, Lil Kim, Faith, The LOX....and the power of the REMIX were ushered in thru the Bad Boy Era. I'm not going to get depressed on what it is now, but rather smile at what we were able to experience. Have any Bad Boy memories to share?

9/11 X 100?!?!?!?

***Ok before getting into this I'll say now that anyone sensitive to 9-11 topics may want to avoid this at all costs.***

Earlier this week the the World Wildlife Fund Brazilian branch decided that the upcoming Terror attack anniversary was as good a time as any to present what I have to say is one of the most tasteless "ads" I've ever seen. Now I've accepted the events that went down and I'm not all hyper sensitive about it, BUT as a New Yorker, the imagery below even made me uncomfortable. The U.S branch of the WWF says they had no knowledge of this ad.

Now while I do agree that the attitudes of many Americans is to put more value on U.S lives then others, this is a horrible way to make that point.....and the video is even worse.

Clean your mirrors and look in them.....

....cuz a lot of folk are looking REAL UGLY at there reactions to the BIG Chris Brown Interview. Priority Check in the center isle. I see people are real butt hurt talking about they expected a "better interview".....really? Just strikes me as funny.

BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

M.J will never Rest In Peace!!!!!
