It's a full scale push towards Mrs Carter's new album and the legion of supporters are out in force. We already know who's claimed control on the world and now I've seen the Internets chattering on a song "1 + 1" that is apparently the greatest thing since the last greatest thing Bey put out . You say the funny thing with me is that the more something gets hyped up before I experience it the least liking I am to want to deal with it. Everything today is either platinum or plastic. The digital hype machine is insane.
So by the time I'm hearing about a movie, song or whatever, I'm already put off but the 100th person saying "This song gives me life", "This song is everything", etc,etc,etc......it just seems a bit much. In truth this seems to be a Twitter issue as I use twitter to keep some degree of awareness from those that I follow blog wise. Since I cant access blogs at the office twitter substitutes.
I'm a communication freak on so many levels. LOL

It's interesting. I aint popular but watching those that do have larger online followings can really be a show. Some people really get into having "followers" and address them as such. Others you can tell are the same no matter whose watching them. In the end I feel that you better be making some money if have thousands of people supporting/following you.

Aged Like Fine Wine???
There has been a change in perspective. Not long ago the sight of a cute college school girl would get a smile and a nod of approval from the guys. They would populate the clubs, the beaches and most of our hangout spots and all was good. But now that same youth isn't viewed the same. It many times comes with a idea of naivety or lacking of life experience. The comments usually go like this. "Yeah she's cute but she's a kid" As you get older and deal with the issues of life you better appreciate those that are dealing with or have dealt with these life struggles and managed to maintain their sexy appeal.
I had this chat with my boy at the gym. You realize why older women utilize things like school girl outfits for role playing. As men we always appreciate the energy and fresh vibe of youth but at this point of 30 yrs old I think we more so appreciate the all-in-one woman that can turn that on when needed. I was reading a note of FB about cougars and how they were intimidating younger girls. It makes me think of the funny dynamic of men and women. As kids girls wanted to date the older "more mature" men, then those men would leave them eventually for younger girls. As those original females get older they then turn their attention to younger men who like these older females who are in their sexual prime.

Comics Coming to Life Via Body Paint.
One of the mediums I really appreciate is body paint. When done right the look to so raw and primal. It's something I really wanna do. Anyway, here we have the comic villain Carnage being represented in the female. Carnage is the alien off spring of Venom. Non nerds know Venom from the last Spiderman movie.

Rapture, Raptors & Respect
So, it's another week of life on this planet earth. Lo and behold no planet shattering earthquake and no mass exodus of faithful followers into another realm of existence. This past Saturday as many people know was supposed to be what we of the Christian faith call the Rapture....well that's if you believed the specific teachings of certain preachers. Personally, I never subscribed to the May 21st ideas so It was really more of serious period of observation for me. The time leading up to the date in question allowed me to again view my peers as they expressed themselves concerning the upcoming Apocalypse.
To no real surprise the Internets were over flowing with "humor" and crude views on the Rapture topic. Many comical images and plays on the word rapture were popping up on blogs and tumblr sites. "Fear the Raptor", "The Raptor is Coming", etc, etc....those were cute but in addition to the jokes were those who saw this as merely another opportunity to bash the Christians. I'm not here to rally for my faith as truthfully no one disrespected me personally but on a whole I don't get the tone that overtakes so many when they log on. I have a simple Respect law. Watch your words towards Family, Friends & Faith. Those 3 F's are areas that I think as thoughtful adults you should show a a level of respect towards until your given a legit reason not to.
Is it because you can't physically see this higher power that folk degrade God. No matter what or whom you pray towards, I think it's one of the ultimate levels of tastelessness to act in such a manner. Maybe I'm just getting older and everything can't simply be excused as "jokes." When the basis of a whole faith/religion is the punchline of the joke it rarely THAT funny. That's not to mention the "Rapture" parties that were taking place to mock the the idea of what may have occurred. It kind of reminded me of Will Smith classic movie Independence Day where the people of the Invaded cities throw rooftop parties right under the Alien ships. It was fun to mock the situation until it got real. It all makes me wonder what is sacred in this society anymore. Everyone claims to "Not give a f**k." Is that true? Is existence really just one big punchline?
To all folk that matter to me I ask "What do you stand for?" "What is it that you represent?" There's never a comedic reply to that because while we all need laughter, we also need balance and respect. Don't we???

The Post reports that the friends of former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn are contacting the overseas relatives of his accuser, "offering them money to make the case go away since they can't reach her in protective custody... The woman, who says she was sexually assaulted by the disgraced former head of the International Monetary Fund, has an extended family in the former French colony of Guinea in West Africa." A French businesswoman who knows Strauss-Kahn and his family says the friends "already talked with her family. For sure, it's going to end up on a quiet note."
I'm very curious if this actually goes down like this. After reading the police the report I'm just curious how you force oral sex without getting ya thang bitten off. Plus this girl don't look to strong to me so how does this actually happen? Smh.......Weird

Bull Gets Caught By NBA's New Campaign
It happened to Kobe a couple months ago and now Bulls Center Joakim Noah gets caught using the not so gay friendly F-word toward a fan while sitting the bench.The League is now this super nice guy stuff yet these players can curse and use the N word all day and its all good? Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher have an extraordinary story to tell. They’ve been married for 86 years.
