So My Friend Has a Crush on A Hood Rat
Ok, ok the colorful title is a bit for effect cuz everyone involved is pretty cool for the most part. While coming home late last night I got a short BBM from one of my guys to hit him up today. He wanted my feedback on something. Long story short he's a good guy, no kids, no criminal record, educated, etc....but he's developed a thing for a girl he knows. She's attractive but seems pretty cool with her ghetto celeb type life. She's not a bad person from what I've seen.....she can be a bit loud and over the top from the one interaction I've had with her but it is what it is. Anyway, my boy tells me he finally stepped to her on some "I know we're cool...." type stuff and from he's words she didn't wanna take things to the next level. She didn't really reject as much as she hit him with the relax 'Friend Zone" response. This clearly didn't sit well with him so I asked me what do I think.
"Man, I'ma be real with you. In spite of everything you feel you're bringing to the table and its a lot, it doesn't matter if she doesn't have that attraction, that spark for you. The truth is you bring more to the equation than she does. Ideally you'd show her things she hasn't seen, open her view point up to things bigger then what she deals with presently. Unfortunately I've learned that no matter how much sense it makes in your head that she should want to rock with you, the reality is that she will more then likely stay within her element and deal with folk that dont compare to you at all. They'll be some bare surface superficial thing that has her feeling this guy or guys and it will make no sense to you. Be clear. As long as you have a crush on this female, yes I said crush, you're gonna be in funny state trying to figure out why others get the shot you want. It's classic and it happens to us all. I suggest you fill your space with another or other women...."
Curious if he'll listen. I expect he'll try to talk to this girl a few times before getting the hint.

Knicks Leaders Openly Seek Answer For Poor Start
I don't over react. I know that this NBA season will be an odd one for a number of reasons, but with all that said the Knicks have too much talent to be in the position they are in. I've never been a fan of coach D'Antoni and the way the Knicks built this team while positive in the overall layout is now completely void of the quality guard player needed to succeed in the league today.
Following Saturday nights double OT loss to Carmelo's old team Denver, there was much soul searching in the NYK locker room.
“A bunch of stuff comes into mind when I’m just sitting here just thinking,” Anthony said. “Maybe I should take the blame for the games that we’ve been losing. The offensive struggles. The coaches do run the offense through me so I’ll take it. I’ll take that blame.”
Anthony is playing hurt and has the shooting percentage to prove it. He's made 35 of his last 105 shots since spraining his left wrist and right ankle. As a result, Anthony revealed he is considering shutting himself down until he gets his body right. He plans to address his medical status with the Knicks’ training staff on Monday.
But Anthony’s issues aren’t just physical. Eleven months after the celebrated trade with the Nuggets, he and Stoudemire are struggling to develop any chemistry. And Anthony, aware of the criticism around him, acknowledged that he could be the problem — maybe.
“I think we as a team need to do a better job getting Amar’e the ball,” Anthony said late Saturday. “I don’t know. I have the ball in my hands, maybe it’s on me. Maybe I need to get him the ball a little bit more. Help him out with that.
“I don’t know. Me and Stat will talk, probably tomorrow, Monday, try to figure it out together. If I’m doing too much I want him to tell me. I want the guys on my team to tell me if I’m doing too much and we’ll handle him like that.”
“Maybe I need to stop shooting a lot I don’t know,” Anthony said. “It’s just a bunch of stuff that goes through my mind right now. Obviously, that’s the case when the shots are not falling. You start thinking that maybe you’re shooting too much.
“For me personally, as one of the leaders of this team, the way the offense goes through me, maybe I shouldn’t put all the blame on myself but that’s just me. I’ll take it. I can deal with that. I can deal with that pressure.”

Checking In With Myself
I started Vlogging around 2006. It was a way to express myself while slowly utilizing technology that was new to me. About a yr into it a recorded a 7 or 8 part rambling rant. It was sparked by a female close to me but set off a lot of things that had been swirling in my head. I'm not gonna load the vid. Its on my youtube channel. Nearly 5 yrs later It's interesting seeing myself in the emotionally vulnerable state. I literally told myself after watching that vlog that I'd never be in that position again. To my surprise I've kept my word. Not to say that I've stopped feeling cuz that's far from it but to have taken full control of these emotions is quite the act of progress in my eyes.
Friends Must Hold To Limits As Well
I think with your friends it's natural to turn a blind eye to certain things they do. We all have pet peeves, faults etc....but have you ever been going about your business just to realize that you've let a friend slide with A LOT of questionable stuff for you real good reason? It's like well their ok around you so I'll just ignore the rest of the package? Truthfully that does neither one of you any good. Well that's been happening to me recently. Gotta take care of that for real cause folk aren't gonna change then you have to eliminate yourself from the equation.
