Over at Mason Says I learned something new. Apparently, Valentines day has an lesser known sibling called Sweetest Day. It's meaning is as follows: Sweetest Day is an observance celebrated primarily in the Great Lakes region, and parts of the Northeast United States on the third Saturday in October[1]. Once known as a day to spread love and cheer to the unfortunate, this popular holiday in the northern U.S. is now known as a day to show affection to the loved ones in your life. It is described by Retail Confectioners International as an "occasion which offers all of us an opportunity to remember not only the sick, aged and orphaned, but also friends, relatives and associates whose helpfulness and kindness we have enjoyed.
I wonder how many guys came out of pocket for this?

Actually... Most WOMEN use SWEETEST day to lavish love and affection on their men...
Kinda like the REVERSE of Valentines day ( when the women get MOST of the attention)...
(on another note: These Captcha verification codes are getting RATHER racy... mine for THIS comment is "Licka"... ) Hmmm.
As a Chicago Dame, I've known this holiday for as long as I can remember. Funny thing is, it was just a few years ago, a few of my ATL friends were like, "What the fuck is a Sweetest Day" and I was like "well damn you dumb mutha fucka it is what it is...." And I was looked at by faces of confusion......
Overall, it's just another excuse to give out some pussy for a gift without feeling like some kinda ho afterwards....
Luv Ya Daddy Night Fall!
Forever Fabulous,
The Single Dame
Never hear of it, nor have I ever been with someone who acknowledged it...
moving on.
(FYI I peeped the labels on this one..hilarious)
