DALLAS — Racing to see his dying mother-in-law at a Plano hospital, an NFL player found himself delayed by a Dallas officer as her life ebbed away. It's a story that has sparked outrage across North Texas and generated interest around the country.
Dallas police Chief David Kunkle faced reporters Thursday afternoon to express his embarrassment over the incident and to publicly apologize to the family. He said the officer involved failed to use common sense.

it's a sad thing seriously...let's see if the DPD uses "common sense" and show Officer Powell what "attitude is everything" means...
This made me SOOOOOOOO angry when I read about it. I remember a few years ago when I lived in a cul-de-sac and they blocked off my street for a parade. I was racing to get to the hospital where my uncle was dying of cancer and the cop at the top of my street told me she couldn't let me through. You better believe that I waited for a lapse in parade members and drove my ass right through. And then I sent a letter to the mayor of the city telling them they were idiots for blocking off a damn cul-de-sac.
