I've come across a dilemma.I was looking forward to seeing Transformers 2. If you've been around my blog. You know I'm a nerd/big kid at heart. Cartoons and comics still rule so while I as not expecting grand story telling. I just want to see a nice modern translation of the show that entertained me at 7am every Saturday morning while eating my Captain Crunch. But, it has brought to my attention that there are quite a few points of racial stereotyping that has raised a few eyebrows. Topping that list seem to be 2 "coonish" robots that escort the lead characters throughout much of the film.
Now I'm the first person to be able to laugh at a little racial humor. And chances are that I will still go see this film but I just hope the talk I'm hearing isn't the case. Give me my Star Scream, Soundwave an Devastator and I'll be good.

Hey I'm from kentucky so stereotypes could go both ways Coons na Red maybe. Haven't seen the movie so i dunno yet.
...if the stereotypes bother me.I'll just recoup my loss by sneaking into another movie.
I saw it last night. A small amount of truth to this. I found the movie funny most of the time, however, having never read your blog before I did have a few thoughts about this very subject as I was watching the movie. I guess it just depends on you and how feel. I would still recommend the movie.
BTW I enjoy your posts. ~Anala
