Alex Rodriguez's 15th-inning home run gives Yankees 2-0 win over Red Sox
BY Mark Feinsand
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER
It may have been warm, but it felt like October Friday night at Yankee Stadium.
Alex Rodriguez ended his home run drought in dramatic fashion, drilling a two-run shot in the 15th inning to lift the Yankees to a 2-0 win over the Red Sox early today, after five hours and 33 minutes.
"It's exhausting," Rodriguez said. "We were so excited the ball went over the fence, not only because we won the game, but because we get to go home."

Yeah, it's good to be a Yankees fan sometimes, even though we haven't won the series in a minute. When I was growing up Reggie Jackson was THE man and I've enjoyed watching the Yankees, win or lose for most of my life. Its hard to think of the Yankees without smiling. It's a shame that Don Mattingly never won a Series, but he had a wicked swing and mad skills too!!!
