An Ugly NY Memory: PR Parade 2000

It's 50+ minutes....That was some of the grimiest shit I've seen. While my boy and I had our cameras, we stayed within the actual parade path and didnt touch anyone beyond whatever mutual love was shown to us. I haven't been to the parade since then minus 2 occasions for promotional work.

I remember seeing the reports about this. I used to go to this parade when I lived in N.Y. I wouldn't feel comfortable going now though.

@ Monie
From what I've heard and seen it's calmed down a lot since then, but I hear you.

I went to the parade ONCE. I was kinda sorta thrown into working the parade after being up drinking for 2 days, getting there at 5am, walking the entire length of the parade with the float that caught on fire, in heels with a FULL bladder in 127 degree heat. I got kissed, groped and then when I was ready to leave, I got my arm slammed in the door of the train after some parade-goer tried to pull me off and fuck me. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

this saddens me but more so angers me. i don't understand why men think it's ok to objectify women. especially as a group! it's cowardly and makes them look like savages. i feel extremely sorry for these women. i don't know what my reaction would be...i'd have probably been killed or beaten because i would have been throwing punches left and right! aiming for balls and all. they preyed on the wrong ones; step to a chick like ME and see how far you get ;]
