I got home last night to the music blogs all dropping this "diss" track from Eminem vs. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon . I listened to it and musically & lyrically it's a ill song BUT this falls in a funny category for me. I can't cosign a grown man going in on a female for denying they had a relationship. Especially as the female has moved on and gotten married.
The Hip Hop lover in me puts Em right on top as one of the best to ever do it. But as a man he loses points for this. Is that how we behave guys? I mean yes if some I had a relationship denied it ever happened there are basically 2 rationales. A)The person means a lot to me so I'd be hurt. B)They don't mean much so you brush it off. In the event that "A" is the way you feel do you then run around "airing out" your business? I can't help but think Em is to some degree envious of he's targets this time around.

Mariah's attempt to gain publicity for her new album by mimicking a rap artist with the insane ability to "ether" even the strongest rapper backfired on her . IMO- she got what she deserved...
She couldnt have really thought that her dressing like Eminem on a video titled "obsessed" wasnt gonna bring a diss record from Em.
Rehashing "old beef" for record sells is wack and she got her ass handed to her.
Question his manhood? Nope, cant do it. He's an entertainer. Im entertained... job done.

Your right rehashing old beefs for sales is wack....but by that logic if we're going to be fair bout this, Eminem started on Relapse w/ "Bag Pipes from Baghdad". Over 1/2 the song was about Nick and Mariah.
It's all funny yes, butI just wish he would have went at Ric Ross for his words as quickly as he gets at pop stars and singers.
@nightfall- by that logic, if Eminem started it, it wouldnt be rehashing beef as there is no beef to be rehashed, right?
If we're going to be fair we have to look at intentions. Carey makes a statement- a fabrication if you will- about Eminem. Eminem responds via song with the intent to refute her claim. Its over. You never hear about it again.
Mariah has a record coming out and instead of doing a Beyonce and just showing up to random ass places so that paparazzi can see her, she decides to mock Eminem... rehashing old shit that nobody longer cares. Careys intention was to get sales from a lie that was already called out by Eminem before.
If we're going to call this beef- I'm going to say that Mariah started this one.
I do agree... I wish he couldve went at Rick too... but only because i like to see big black dudes and slim white dudes go at it.

In regards to refuting Mariah's statement which was "no we never dated".Well, maybe its just me but that sounds lame on Em's part. Even if they did "date" and as Miss Info said on the topic, "date" has so many meanings, the fact that she denied it and he took it to wax vs her and her husband is suspect IMO.
Hypothetically if she would have said "yes we did date" it was obviously private and out of the public one so it really is being made more of an issue by both of them then it clearly was.
As far as publicity, selling records etc.....I don't buy that formula.I give the buying public too much credit for that.
But we'll see....there are a lot of pix & vids of various artist floating.That's a fact sooo it'll be entertaining. :)

THEREFORE, Mariah's ass must need some publicity, or rather Nick's ass need some publicity and they are trying to get Eminems audience (WHICH IS HUGE).
Therefore, from a money makin' prospective, Mariah's camp is simply taking a risk. This "Obssessed" stunt is either going to help or burden Mariah's and/or Nicks reputation....only time shall tell.
