Is wifey a good thing? How does it differ from a wife? Is it just a name/title not to be taken too seriously? Is it a mere a nice way to refer to your #1 girl(which means you have a few females.)Personally I gained a serious disdain for the word based around the people that used it. In a society where marriage seems to be losing more and more desirability it seems like "wifey" is the downgraded no name brand version of Wife. Like it's the trouble making lil sister of Wife. I mean perhaps the positive standing of wifey is relative to where you are in life. If the idea of marriage isn't in your immediate set of goals then perhaps its no big deal.
Thoughts, feelings.....is it a good thing to be a wifey?
Is Rhianna Wifey material? As fine as she is I'd see Rhianna as wifey and not a Wife.

word play of it all....like you said so many definitions for a simple term....
it's like the term hook-up..hooking-up..hooked-up...i mean it can mean meeting up..it can mean making out..it can mean sex....hell..everything has multiple meanings these days...
i would presume that if anyone is refering to someone with anything resembling that of wife that would mean that is their one and only....
Im kinda neutral on this one. The term is def overused, but to me its like a nickname and I give everyone in my life who i am fond on nicknames...If I use the term wifey i use it to describe objects that a man sometimes puts over his girl or treats like his girl...for example I'll call a car wifey ..but its not something I have ever been called or would want to be called, not at this point in my life anyways.
As far as rhianna being considered wifey or wife..I def see her as wifey for now..as fly as she is, i think she is more focused on her more than anything right now..as well she should be
Semantics as Jillian said...personally I don't want to be called "wifey" call me your wife or call me your girlfriend. Keep it 100
man... wifey does kinda cheap'n a real wife... like u said it kinda down plays the real value of being a wife, because the word gets thrown around so easily... i do think "wifey" is kinda cute for a girlfriend (a really good GF). im sure girls feel special when they're called that.. but when im a wife. i want to be just that. and me personally.. i agree with Epitome. if you start calling me "wifey" ima take it as your about to put a ring on it..lol
