Double Standard Foolery?

Big hair, fake skin coloring, and fist pumping.Yeah its the damn Jersey Shore and I'm here feeling a lil conflicted, if not semi pissed off. I'm not liking the push that this show is getting. You see previously I stated that I wanted this show to succeed in its stereotypical ways just to balance the years of Ray J and Flava antics. But now it seems that MTV is sucking it all up and supporting these guys in a manner none of the other previous minority based showed have been pushed. They had these clowns co hosting New Years Eve on MTV. Take a moment to think on that. MTV = New York on New Years Eve. That's a worldwide platform for this chick that is only known for taking a good Chris Brown right cross. Why? Why are they being treated as the saviors of TV?

All the previous shows had there basic season, a "see what we didn't air" episode and a re union episode. Basic formula. Repeated again and again. But in only 1 month of airing, these Jersey kids are all over the place. It just strikes me as 2 different sets of rules being applied here.

More thoughts and a some comedy relief After the Jump

To continue with the extra MTV(Viacom) support they now have Michael Cera running with these guys filming footage for some promotion of his new movie Youth in Revolt. Really?

I need some laffs out of this.....peep below

(Notice how homeboy applied the "n word" rationale to Guido but instead of mentioning blacks he picked on gays.)
