Truthfully I've never been interested in these contests....I like the beauty I see around me on the regular so this overly made up dress stuff doesn't move me, but here's something for these that are interested.
The twenty two year old Jimena Navarrete was named Miss Universe 2010 in Las Vegas after winning the judges over with her thoughts on teaching children family values. Jimena is Mexico's second Miss Universe. Lupita Jones of Mexico won the title in 1991. Mexican President Felipe Calderon and his wife, Margarita Zavala, congratulated her over Twitter after the announcement of her win. The prize for becoming Miss Univers: an undisclosed salary, a luxury New York apartment with living expenses, a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy with housing after her reign, as well as jewelry, clothes and shoes. Must be nice. The runner up was Miss Jamaica.
