The End of an Era.......The Best Punchline

This week the comic and cartoon world received confirmation of horrible news. Mark Hamill, originally of Star Wars fame, and the legendary voice behind the animated Jack Napier aka the Clown Prince of Crime aka The Joker, tweet that his time in the vocal booth was over. It was a moment that many knew was coming but it still is bitter sweet. The voice of the greatest in history. More violent then Scarface, Smarter than Hannibal, with a body count that would impress Darth Vader.

The Triumphant Return of the Thunder Cats

**This may include spoilers so if you haven't seen this yet please do not read**

I was parked in front of the TV 30 mins prior to the start and did not move until it was over. This past Friday the Cartoon Network premier the new Thunder Cats series and I'll be the first to say "Good Job". The story is based around the same fundamental concepts of the original series, such as young lion cubs growth into leadership, the conflicts with Mum Ra and the mutants and betrayal among partners. The early appearance of Groom was incredibly well done. All the favorite characters get reintroduced to us with fresh twists to keep the old school just as invested as the new school.

You see, when you deal with such an Iconic set of images it's very difficult to pull it off without issues. Either one of the millions who grew up on the Thunder Cats gets offended such as the Panthro Issue, yet you still have to freshen the series up for those that never knew the Cats. All in all I'm in and will be following what I hope is a long run for this next generation Thunder Cats Production.

Swizz expands his business.............so-so results.

As a bronx born, Ruff Ryder, Mr. Alicia Keys & Ny representative I have much respect for Swizz Beats but his 2 recent projects just don't hit the mark with me. Da Monster remade the classic Knicks Theme from the 90's "Go Ny Go Ny Go!" & he has remade the theme for the new Voltron cartoon coming to the Cartoon Network.

New Thunder Cats Trailer

The Cartoon Network finally gives us full animation of the new look Thunder Cats. Japanese produced as you can tell by the style it gives an almost Lord of the Rings type vibe. I'm liking the fact that the planet Thundera gets more attention before it's destruction. They'll be debuting to the CN soon.

The Forbes Fictional 15 is a list generated by Forbes magazine that lists the 15 richest people in the realm of fiction. The members are characters from movies, books, cartoons and television. The current list was written in 2010.
To qualify for the list members must be "both fictional (in the sense that we excluded mythological and folkloric figures) and characters (meaning they are part of a narrative story or series of stories)." And of course, rich. The one exception to the rule was Santa, a mythological character, whom Forbes decided was an "irresistible" addition, although he has been absent from the list since 2006. Forbes stated, "We still estimate Claus's net worth as infinite, but we excluded him from this year's rankings after being bombarded by letters from outraged children insisting that Claus is 'real.' We don't claim to have settled the ongoing controversy concerning Claus's existence, but after taking into account the physical evidence—toys delivered, milk and cookies devoured—we felt it was safer to remove him from consideration."
