A Reminder of Perspective....

Life is interesting and never short on "lessons" the world is full of view points far different from mine. What is done with good intention isn't always seen as such. It shouldn't be this way but it is. It genuinely makes me a lil sad but I've shaken it off before I'll be it again. In the mean time I have to deal with no hesitation before click the "Like" button. Smh.......

A Guy Thing?????

I remember the circumstances that I went through that led me to be able to separate my emotions from my actions. I thought that would in the end make me a better decision maker. For the majority of the time it has but when it hasn't damn the mistakes have been costly.......

I'm a King In My Own Mind?????

I've been thinking about reality recently. As taxing as it is at time I can deal with it. I'm referring to real everyday Earth reality. The sky is blue, stealing is against the law, America is over weight, Gas is too damn reality. Good, Bad or Ugly I can deal with that. But recently I'm saying that within that world you sometimes have to deal with the personal alternate realities of those you interact with. These are the existences that can really perplex me. Folk with personal issues that have created a view of the world so far off it negates the need for self examination. It's nothing to do with you but its all the men, no excuse me, all the  n***as that have the problem. It's not your business execution it's the non supportive "fans" keeping you back. It's not your really insane it's that other guys are worthy of you.......

Crazy. And as a man with so many alternative trains of thought and aliases it's really saying something when this strikes a cord with me. But who knows, maybe someone looks at me and thinks I'm delusional as well......

Aren't you too grown for that?

Ok, there's nothing wrong with "keeping it real" when the time is appropriate but I'm sorry, there is nothing worse then an adult that doesn't know how to leave the hood at home when operating at work.

I'm not talking about the street skills that keep you with your eyes open ready to take advantage of an opportunity that others may not see. I mean the elements of it that make you wonder if so many of those stereotypes might be more on point then you want to admit. Do any of y'all have that extra loud co worker? The one that takes a personal phone call and then seems to be on the phone all day while broadcasting just how much her life sucks? Of course she thinks her life is the shit buuuuuuut we know better. And when you speak to this person she has any number of reasons why the other females in the office are "fake or shady" No, they just no better then deal with yo ass, screaming about their delinquent family members less then 12 feet from the Presidents office. How the hell you put the most ghetto person in the building as the receptionist?

Done.

Suspect Co-Signature

Co-Sign. You read/hear something you genuinely feel and agree with then you co-sign. It's a pretty simple concept that when applied properly shows support to your follow man, but there's always the flip side, i.e Suspect Co-signing. This is basically equal to cheerleader or as the homie Mz.J would say "jumping on the blogwagon."

Now before the "people do what they want" and "everyone has the freedom to do whatever" lines stop flying understand this isn't an attempt to stop this act or change minds about. I'm merely curious about it. My main curiosity, with a few specfic blogs in mind, is do folk really co-sign crazy, wild and at times reckless and possibly self destructive actions because they really agree with it or is it to in some way live through the blogger(s) in question?

For example I may come across a blog that says something like this.

"blah blah....I went to the club, had some drinks....blah,blah.....saw a couple guys I thought were cute...blah,blah.......ended up with a 2-3 phone #'s,blah,blah.....I ended up in the bathroom with one of the guys.....but he only ate me out...blah,blah....then I got real wasted and bumped into my homegurl who dropped me home...blah blah.....then I got a call from one of the other guys at the club, the cutest one...blah,blah....so he came thru and the sex was great blah......and I woke up not knowing where my underwear was......"

So there you have a wild and crazy night/morning.....then it may be followed by a series of comments saying....

"Damn girl that was a wild night.DO YOUR THANG!!"......."You so crazy.I wish I could get it in like you"......"OMG!LMMFAO!Sounds like you had a great night!" etc,etc,etc....

I wish I was over doing it but I'm really not. So after reading something like this I can't help but wonder would these people co sign just as much if this story was coming from a cousin, sister or close friend in their offline world. Is it simply cheering on what another does that they personally would never want to be caught up in? Could really be an degree of envy for the wild and spontaneous life?

Just wondering. When ever I see extreme actions of any sort not bring about a mixed response of both negative and positive it always catches my eye a bit.

A New Hit by Former Making the Band Member Sara Stokes

Well, it wasn't a music hit...(bad joke I know)......but clearly there's trouble in paradise as Reality show singer turned model(i think) Sara stokes was arrested for domestic violence after stabbing her husband.I ain't like him any way.Details below.

“We’re told Sara — who hurt her head in the fall — grabbed a knife and stabbed Tony in the arm — while their 3 kids watched.

Paramedics and cops came and Stokes was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. The D.A. is deciding whether to charge her.

Sara’s lawyer, Eric Kayira, tells us, “Sara and Tony have a very passionate and loving relationship that on August 2, while having an evening of fun, she slipped and fell, hitting her head heavily on the ground and somehow in the process of helping her Tony got injured.”
