INFLUENCERS in-depth Series / STEVE STOUTE from R+I creative on Vimeo.
Off the strength of the original Influencers, which you can view after the jump, the spotlight is now focused on Steve Stoute. In this installment Stoute speaks on the new age union of cultural codes and the ways of big business.
I find work like this very interesting because while trends have been a part of society for ages, I can't help but think we have a lot more followers today then ever. Not merely as part of trends but simply following for the sake of following. Not doing what is actually desired but more so doing what is projected as "in".

INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment.
The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach.
Written and Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today's pop culture.
"Influencers" belongs to the new generation of short films, webdocs, which combine the documentary style and the online experience.
