Rest in Peace to the Greastest Entertainer Ever!!!!
There are very few people I know that don't get moved in some way listening to MJ's work. Again, we don't appreciate what we have till it's gone......

Greatness Through The Genes

I hear the term "Power Couple" a lot. Many times it is not so much due to what has been done but the potential of what might be able to be accomplished that fills the mind when pairing two unique individuals. The Smiths are not the hope of but rather the proof of Greatness. And now it's greatness passed down to the next generation.
The Smith family was front and center for the celebration of President Obama's Noble Peace Prize acceptaance.
”The opportunity to recognize the laureate’s contributions to the world peace movement will be an awe-inspiring experience,” the Smiths said in a joint statement. “We are both humbled and honored to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this year.”

In the presence of Greatness

From Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Rick Rubin up high to Dmx, KRS-1, Redman, Method Man and Eminem on stage, along with the A class gathering of hip hop personalities throughout the venue, it was pure heaven for me last like night at the Brooklyn academy of music. This years Hip Hop Honors, was a well deserved dedication to Def Jam and while I won't give away what happened prior to the Oct. 13th airing, I will say that there are a number of great moments not just in terms of performance but also in regards to insight and personal stories given throughout the show. And for me personally it's always an enjoyable trip down memory lane to see and music to links so directly to my youth. It was a memorable night that I wont forget anytime soon.
And apparently Ja and X patched things up.Nice.
You can drop by Miss Info later today for a more concise write up on last nights events.

The Greatest Rapper of All Time Died on March 9th

Now if you're no the mood to dispute this claim do so in a intelligent NON COMBATIVE way and we're good money cuz I have more then my share of friends that feel 2pac and/or others hold this title. But truthfully it aint even about that. This a memorial/tribute post. I personally didn't need the movie to know what B.I.G meant to my era and generation.Hell I haven't even seen the movie yet. Biggie's music was the score to many of my adolescent memories, good, bad and ugly.
Welcome to my center
Honeys feel it deep in they placenta
Cold as the pole in the winter
Far from the inventor, but I got this rap shit sewed
And when my Mac unloads
I'm guaranteed another video
Ready to die, why I act that way?
Pop Duke left Mom Duke
The faggot took the back way
So instead of makin hoes suck my dick up
I used to do stick-up
Cause hoes is irritatin' like the hic-CUPS
Excuse me, flows just grow through me
Like trees to branches
Cliffs to avalanches
It's the praying mantis
Deep like the mind of Farrakhan
A motherfucCin rap phenomenon,
