No One Wins During the NBA Lockout

David Stern, the commissioner of a 26-team league with 30 franchises, who can't seem to understand why they're not making money. Gee, I wonder, David. That's a real head-scratcher. Once considered the greatest commish ever, Stern could have gotten creative about ways to change the revenue stream, protect the owners, incentivize overachieving players, add a play-in tournament for the 8-seeds, get sponsored jerseys, merge two struggling teams, take advantage of the Chicago market (by adding a second team there) and any other idea that could have prevented us from missing games, and instead, just did the second grade bully routine of "You have too many cookies, I WANT SOME OF YOUR COOKIES!" before finally bending to a reasonable place these past two weeks. But too much damage was done. Now it's a staring contest and a dick-swinging contest. Nobody wins. Everyone loses.

Not a happy fitness guy........

I want to say Loud and Clear that Bally's Total Fitness can kiss my ass!!!!

I just get word that the Bally's in my town that I've been a member of for 10 yrs is closing in 1 week. I've put close to $3000 into that gym adn now due there 1/2 ass business and accounting practices, which has had them in chapter 11 since 2007 they make this bullshit move. The nearest Bally's total fitness clubs are at least 2 towns away. When I get home from Connecticut I have no desire to drive all the way to Yonkers, Portchester or the damn Bronx to workout. I'm 5 mins. from the gym. It was the embodiment of convenience. This isn't going to stop my fitness plans you can believe that. But at the moment I'm pissed beyond belief.

The only people that are smiling now are the owners of the New York Sports Club that opened up right next door.
