Will Smith Seems to Love Movie's w/ Earth Minus Other Humans: AFTER EARTH TRAILER

Apparently this features Jaden working his way across this "New" Earth while his Will is injured within their air craft. I don't really have an opinion on this yet.....which may be a bad sign.

See the Trailer after the jump...

Dear White People....

Interesting. Not sure how I feel about this. The "this is not what Black people are" theme seems kind of tired to me. Only because its usually the same nonviolent, pseudo intellectual witty reply that really doesn't change anything. Violence may not be the answer either but just for my own peace of mind of LOVE to see a movie where the Black folk stop being so cool about things and start seriously reacting to the nonsense. It's 2012 and everyone knows better. Take off the kid gloves.....

I had mixed views on this film but it's always cool when new content gets released. So, take a look at 15+ of scenes that didn't make the official movie cut.

Bane Via Street Art

“Oh, so you think darkness is your ally? But you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man, by then to me it was only blinding. The shadows betray you because they belong to me.”

Thoughts the Upcoming Total Recall Remake

You already know......

CraveOnline: I guess the question you probably get asked the most is, “How dare you?”

Len Wiseman: How dare I, for sure. I get that all the time, even when it doesn’t relate to this film. [Laughs] There’s always a reaction with anything to do with anything that is a different version of something. I completely understand it. I question things as well, but I don’t personally have as much of a problem as some people [who] get seriously violent about it.

I imagine you don’t, since you made the film. Right?

I’m used to it. I was into comic books as a kid. I’m used to comic books being reimagined, different takes on some of our beloved superheroes. It’s something that is not met with as much… But that is too, there are some who are very against that.

Just How Hard is a Black Panther Film, Anyway?

One of the weirdest things about being a black comics fan, other than basically being invisible a lot of the time, is that you're more likely to find a comic starring an alien or animal than you are a black man, and good luck finding a comic starring a black woman! Black characters are seen as harder to write, too. Sometimes writers, big name A-list writers, will explain that they just don't feel comfortable writing black characters, because what if they mess up or the characters are inauthentic or they are accidentally racist?

Dark Knight Triumphantly Rises

Don't worry no spoilers here.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon an early screening pass to view the Dark Knight Rises. I dont want to say to much so I'll try to convey my feelings in the fewest words. It wasn't perfect but came pretty close. It in many ways was the perfect flip side film to what Avengers was. 2 sides of one comic movie coin. I'll go into more detail as to what I mean in 2 weeks. I want people to get a chance to see this first. There are certain things, big & small that I need in a comic book movie and DKR hit all those points.

I'll end this with 3 out of the dozen questions I've been asked since seeing the movie.

  1. Is it good? Yes......Great.
  2. Is it as good as the last Batman..................surprisingly enough Yes it is.
  3. Did that leave move for another film after this...................lol you'll have to go see for yourself
See it once, twice......maybe three times. You should love each time you view it.
(Just a heads up the movie is close to 3 hrs long)

Marvel Bigs Give Lame Reasoning for No Black Panther Movie

Fresh off of San Diego Comic Con we finally get someone speaking on Black Panther and the comments aren't good. Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito was asked about BP and had this to say... "He has a lot of the same characteristics of a Captain America: great character, good values... But it's a little more difficult, maybe, creating [a world like Wakanda]. It's always easier basing it here. For instance, 'Iron Man 3' is rooted right here in Los Angeles and New York. When you bring in other worlds, you're always faced with those difficulties." Give me a break...We can recreat Valhalla but an African nation is difficult? Are you serious?. See the video on the statement below.

Cargill: Of all your beloved comic characters, which one would you like to see become a big-screen icon next?
Lee: I can't wait to see Dr. Strange and The Black Panther.

Get Familiar w/ Thanos of Titan

If you haven't seen Avengers yet you may want to avoid this but I'm assuming you're like me and you've seen it but now.....maybe a few times. I peeped Avengers again last night and was leaving the spot explaining to my boys exactly who the purple skinned being at the end of the movie was. He is Thanos. Born on the moon of Saturn, called Titan. Google him and learn that he gets busy.

Hit the jump and dive into an overview of Thanos' signature storyline "The Infinity Gauntlet"

According to an analysis performed by the Connecticut Analysis Corporation, a firm that assesses damages for insurance companies, the various battles fought by The Avengers in New York City resulted in as much as $70 billion worth of physical damage. The economic impact and costs associated with cleaning up the mess would add another $90 billion in expenses, bringing the total cost of the melee for insurance companies, businesses and the City of New York to $160 billion.
