After 2 close games in Brooklyn the Rocafella Nets got a rude awakening to the fact that this inner city rivalry is NOT what it's been hyped up to be. Melo returned from his ankle sprain to drop 31 and the Defensive Player of the Year was quite Offensive was a series of Alley Oop throw downs to close out the visiting team.

For the 2nd Time in as many meetings the Knicks, this time without team leader Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks served up a 20 pt beating on the defending champs. Be clear, the Knicks MINUS Carmelo, Amare & Iman Shumpert came into Miami and embarrassed the champs on national TV. Hold That!!!!!!

After a wacky Sheed ejection incident over his famous catch phrase threw everyone off, the Knicks settled down quickly. They didnt let an early Sunday start get them unfocused as they closed out the Suns to remain perfect at MSG!!!!

In the 1st Inner City battle of the new BK Nets & the New York Nets. A close game throughout went to Overtime where the Nets came away with the win. I'm looking forward to how this match up will shape up when the Knicks get their squad 100%. It's on NY!!

After a true battle in Memphis on Friday night the Knicks returned to MSG no longer undefeated. Since Mike Woodson's arrivial to the head coaching chair this team has yet to lose 2 regular season games in a row. Today the trend continued as the Knicks put last Indiana on notice that they are NOT in the same class.

As NY Recovers, Knicks Provide Moment if Enjoyment

As many till attempt to deal and adjust to the new post Super Storm Sandy reality of the Tri State area the New York Knicks after the rescheduling of their 1st game tipped off the season at MSG vs the defending champion Heat. From wire to wire the Knicks led as the Heat spent the majority of the game trailing by double digits. Afterwards Jason Kidd was truthfully in his post game assessment. "One game doesnt define a team." This is 100% true but it was a good conference win that hopefully sets the tone for tomorrows game vs division rival Philly.

In what has been one of the oddest, craziest most unpredictable seasons I've ever seen. The Knicks are still pushing to locking in their playoff spot and end their campaign with a message of just how good they are and can be in the future. Injuries, coaching changes and a condensed season haven't helped but while people argue who's team it is or if Jeremy Lin is the real deal. NY's 1st round drat pick Iman Shumpert is staking his claim as a future fixture on the NYK line up and drawing praise league wide for his defensive ability.

“I think he has gotten better and better. As a rookie to ask him to become a point guard, come in and be a defensive stopper, which he has been brilliant at. And, at time times to come in and be a scorer, we ask a lot from him as a rookie but it’s a short season and we’re shorthanded. Everybody has to do multiple things out there. I’ve been very impressed with him this season,”

I'm the first to admit I knew nothing of Iman Shumpert pre NBA draft but I'm glad we have him.
