After a wacky Sheed ejection incident over his famous catch phrase threw everyone off, the Knicks settled down quickly. They didnt let an early Sunday start get them unfocused as they closed out the Suns to remain perfect at MSG!!!!

In the 1st Inner City battle of the new BK Nets & the New York Nets. A close game throughout went to Overtime where the Nets came away with the win. I'm looking forward to how this match up will shape up when the Knicks get their squad 100%. It's on NY!!

Minor Stumble in the South....Back Home for Business!!

 

After a true battle in Memphis on Friday night the Knicks returned to MSG no longer undefeated. Since Mike Woodson's arrivial to the head coaching chair this team has yet to lose 2 regular season games in a row. Today the trend continued as the Knicks put last Indiana on notice that they are NOT in the same class.

As NY Recovers, Knicks Provide Moment if Enjoyment

As many till attempt to deal and adjust to the new post Super Storm Sandy reality of the Tri State area the New York Knicks after the rescheduling of their 1st game tipped off the season at MSG vs the defending champion Heat. From wire to wire the Knicks led as the Heat spent the majority of the game trailing by double digits. Afterwards Jason Kidd was truthfully in his post game assessment. "One game doesnt define a team." This is 100% true but it was a good conference win that hopefully sets the tone for tomorrows game vs division rival Philly.

Coach's Message For The Team

“A championship is not something that is just given to you; it is something that is earned and the reason it feels so good is because you know how hard you had to work to achieve it. NBA Champion Jason Kidd, should able to explain better than anyone, how hard it is to win a title and this might make a lasting impression on the other players on this team. Knicks players should not care about statistics or playing time this season; all they should care about is winning every game. The losses should feel like their heart is being ripped out of their chest and it should drive them to never feel that pain again.”

Saturday Sun and Bronx Basketball

Participated yesterday in the Hunt's Point Unity BBall Tourney. The hood was out, money was raised and outside of a few kids arguing on the side courts things went party smoothly. I need to help on the cardio work ASAP as my body in the 1st half felt like it was still in Barbados. I got going in the 2nd half but couldn't close the gap and ended up on the losing side of a 10 pt deficient. But at least it was for a good cause.

No return to MSG. An off season of questions now begins again. I think I've had enough of the stress for one year.....

Old Energy Lives At MSG

Does this series go beyond a 5th game? Does NY get another home playoff at MSG? I can't say but I know that for the 1st time in a long time I closed out an Sunday afternoon in May celebrating a Knicks playoff win. Are two marquee players, our who get my blame and unjust criticism then the President at times lead the Knicks to a win over the highly favored Miami Heat. Maybe it's just one day but New York deserved it.
