Its a question of giving.......

So one of my more blunt friends asks me about Christmas. What'd I do, what'd I get and what I got folks. I guess simply common sense brought the conclusion that I gave more then I got.Well that's pretty much the norm but I was asked the question "Doesn't it bother you to not get anything from people you gave to?" After a deep inhale and exhale I had to break it down....

If I gave based on what I received it would never be a real balance.Some folk aren't in the position to give as they may want, some may not express themselves in the manner that I do and honestly some may not think material gifts are warranted towards me.This reminds me of when my mom would question me on things and say "Don't these girls have boyfriends? Shouldn't they be doing these things?" And perhaps she is right to degree but I'm me and this is what I do. All I ever really expect is a legitimate "Thank you and Merry Christmas" If I get an actual gift or a card then its a pleasant surprise.

I sum it up like this and this is an extreme example but it makes the point perfectly.
Jesus loved without limit regardless of if that expression was returned in like manner. Imagine is Jesus said...."Damn.I love and love these humans and I dont even get a hug in return?Screw this I'm going home."

You give to make the recipient's day/life a lil brighter.Once that's done then the mission is accomplished.

Dec 24th......

Twas' the day before Christmas and all thru New Ro,
Issues started arising so away I will go,
One friend's depressed with a mother so ill,
And a son out of surgery its all testing her will,
I'ma play Santa today dropping off gifts,
Holding her down so I'll give her a lift,
To the hospital quicc and continue my day,
Looking for Macbooks and hoping to save,
Then bounce to the Bronx to meet up on the blocC,
Exchange a few smiles hope they got what they want,
Goodfellas all day lets tip a bottle of Hen,
Bullshit aside let celebration begin,
Dessert Flower makes me proud as she continues her growth,
Moonchylde is a blessing I'm so thankful for both,
There's love in the "A", T-Dot and the isles.
I've always done it for y'all to see my folk smile,
So everyone be safe and have fun into the night,
I'ma toast to you all then proceed to get nice. ;)

Spent a nice but chilly winter New York day shopping, eating and enjoying great company. It gets no better then that.
