 This past weekend Ms. Evie Robinson, again hosted a gathering of her Nomadness Tribe in the heart of NYC. The gathering of about 40 people from all over the nation was in rare form. Networking abounded, laughs, social convo and more flowed freely and frequently both at the official meeting location and after party. It was a beautiful thing indeed.

What is RealTime Travlr Bags?

I love vintage anything and I love to travel. So RealTime Travlr Bags feeds both of those passions and I realized that I can't possibly keep everything to myself, so I opened an Etsy shop! 

What I do is hunt the luggage down, clean, shine, and/or reline them and sometime take them for a test drive to see how they hold up and get also to get my fashion on. I feel like the airport has become such a monotone place and this is a great opportunity make travel colorful without sacrificing space. I'm working on handmade passport holders and travel inspired furniture to come in the near future as well. 

The shop is the offshoot of my tumblr page, RealTime Travlr  that I use when I travel to post my adventures in real time, because I love to tweet, tumbl, and facebook. I opened it up to other travelers by interviewing them while they have been on their trips, I call them Flight Path interviews. So far we have interviews with Dollar Van Demos and their trip with British Airways Small Business contest visit to London, study abroad in Ghana with a NYT published journalist, and more. Maybe Girls Do Run The World......

So this past week was a beautiful one for my ladies. Upon my return from vacation I hit the Internets to push Elisha Jade's co hosting gig with Hot 97's DJ Juanyto on the Monday Night Action.

Then Tuesday it was a lil socializing as Raven returned to the party scene at a new venue for her Off the Wall party. Great music, set the tone for a mixture of hip hop lovers, insiders and dancers to mingle and enjoy.

Humpday, then marked the 1st special edition of Menage a Talks that featured the T.Dot to UK(via NY) link up of Goddess I and Elisha Jade. In the meanwhile everyone's favorite world traveler Evita Robinson was on the grind preparing to serve up so much international favor that I may be almost as excited as she is to see it reach the masses.

Who's That Calling Me????

When cellphones hit you found every reason to be on it talking to someone.  Just that mobile communicative freedom had you rambling all day. As time passed by it seems that textual communication has you hearing actual voices less and less. In turn actually calling a person and that call being accepted on a consistent basis is a strong sign to the relationship between two people.

With that said, Evita has always kept the technological vs actual communicative balance on point. With the current wave she is riding I know that every time that pic pops on my Blackberry the news will be positive and my day is gonna hit a high point. Today was no different. I received one call today and it was her updating me on business, networking and the powers that be continuing to shine on her. Only 1 call today but hey you know it quality over quantity.

This is the beginning of something I think will focus much positive energy toward a group that I think desires and needs it. The young  independent entrepreneurial business person. We all have people we support in this group are we are those people. We rally around many other things so It'd be great to see this grow. Well not really. I was invited to my homegurl's club opening in the BX last month. It was nothing major, I just wanted to support a friend. But apparently the photographer/videographer(is that a word?) made a pretty nice video out of the footage and I'm in it.LOL, my man called me yesterday like, why didn't you tell me you were in a commercial.Funny guy, but hey check it out any way.
