"Smile" The Weapon of the Oppressive??

This is a weird era we live in.....now a simple statement like "You look pretty when you smile.." sparks anti harassment convos? I get it's application in some cases but lets act rational for a moment and acknowledge there are genuinely nice people who aren't asking for any or trying to "control" you and are simply giving a compliment. Someone said that men dont walk down the street and compliment women on non physical attributes. Hmmmm, already but unless your wearing your degree how would I know what you are about? I dont condone calling random women "honey", "baby" etc.....but everything isn't harassment. I've been stepped to with compliments before or holla'd at in the street and no one mentions my degree either.

Hey you want to ice grill the world? That's your right 1000%. I'm just asking that you show the ability to separate a kind comment from a lewd come on. Lets not act like a smile is an evil thing. It's taught from childhood as part of positive body language. This generation is so black and white that many folk get needlessly attacked simply cuz others dont have a grey area.

Lets try to maintain sensible balance, lets not lose that and confuse different issues.

You can listen to what a woman generally describes as her type and while everyone is different, I've noticed that there are types of dudes that just by the nature of what they do seem to have a leg up on things.

Think about it. Be it through the gift of gab, creative energies, status level or simply physical structure I've seen folk within these groups talk some of the best ladies out of their clothes. It's a game as old as time itself. Just an observation.......

My only thing is this, so much of what is being spoken on is rumor and gossip. What if Rihanna hasn't been with these people in the that way. Hump Day Reality

No tasty images, no suggestive words. I had plenty lined up but this came thru my thought patterns and needed to be let out. I told my boy as I left the gym last evening that I'm learning that no matter what type of woman you are dealing with, the key to peace is knowing when to let her thinking she is charge or right. This isn't an insult or derogatory statement as I affiliate with literally an clan of powerful respectful woman. But in the constant back and forth of life I observe, I observe the subtle things that reinforce (at least in the states) how much of a mans world it is. The double standards and social guidelines are well known. But on top of that I watch the actual interactions of people. The difference in alcohol effect on a man vs a woman and how he may take that do his advantage. The natural female nature to want protection. The truth is that we as men are given the position to be evaluated as to if a woman can feel safe and trust us.

Let's be honest. If I want to physically do something, who could really stop me? I hear the term Alpha Male used a lot recently. Maybe it to those particular men that this applies. I see many a simp get played out by a stronger more aggressive but the buck stops hee with that.

Y'all tell me. The power, support, protection of a man. How much does it matter?
