Paradise and Opportunity.....

As the roosters crow still to wake up the residents of Barabos it's already clear that this will be a big weekend. The calls for Animekon are coming in as word of the Omega Nexus' arrival spreads across the island. The opportunities are here and I'm ready to maximize them all.

Back In Business!!!!!

After a number of set backs, mishaps and unforeseen issues, The Omega Nexus will be dropping this month. Here's some info in preparation....

All Omega Nexus related tweeting will be handled via @TheOmegaNexus. This Monday we will be opening The Omega Nexus group page on Facebook. It will be our space for news, feedback & interaction w/ the people. It will be a space not just about the ON but for all direct conversations about the genre of comics, fantasy, fiction art, story telling, etc.... Once the page opens Monday a link will be provided and invites sent out. We will be previewing the 1st 1/3 of the book ever couple of weeks into the summer. So if you don't want to pick up the book when it drops feel free to check how it starts.

 I again must really say thanks to those that stuck with us. I can promise you that you wont regret it. Again follow @TheOmegaNexus to stay connected. The team was able to work a great online deal price wise too so I'm looking forward to announcing it all to you next week We're working some kinks out of http://www.omeganexus.com as well but we have some things in store for that too.

When Dreams Become Plans Then a Reality

It's been defined in the creative line of my mind years ago....expressed via the digital communications of these Internets...lived out in the actions and support giving to many for the past decade. Now I take something that has been an essential part of me and made it tangible and legitimate. It's deeper that business, taxes applications and write offs. Its the evolution of me.

Guardian Always......

This weekend the Nomadness Tribe had our 3rd Official NYC Meet up. With my role within the group as a "behind the scenes" member and facilitator of sorts aka "High Council" I already know that people have an interesting if not funny view of me. It can't be what it seems. It must be more. There must be something going on. Why would a grown man ride so hard for this woman. I guess it seems weird to folk until their the one I'm riding for and looking out for. Then it's sweet, chivalrous and what not.

Many of us have dreams. Very few see those dreams manifest. I'm a part of that manifestation for one of my closest friends. You damn right I'm playing that guardian role in this. Not just for her but for those that have put so much faith in her. So for the doubters and jokers it's all good. I'ma be what I am and be it to the fullest.

Inspiration through Tyler Perry as Madea.........Yeah I Know.

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. As I was letting one of the 3 plates of food I had settle last evening, mom wanted to check out the latest Madea play that apparently was given to her as a gift. I had no clue what it was. I thought it was an actual movie and but the stage plays. Anyway since it was a day of family we decided to watch it. Now I'm not one of those folk that bashes T.Perry. He seems real comfy with a few too many over the top stereotypes BUT the man has overcome more things then me and after losing his mom last yr I'm not going to beat on his path to success in this industry.

Now, the play ran the full spectrum from moving and mediocre but ended well and had some quality "life lessons" as well. For me personally, the highlight came at the end during the cast curtain call. Tyler spoke on dealing with the fact that people that he knew could help him and who he thought would help him didn't do so when he was pursuing his dream. While it was hurtful and disappointing, he revealed that the lesson he took from that was this. As god was providing the dream he was working so hard for, he made sure that there would no way for Tyler to give the credit to anyone but God when his time came. That made so much sense to me. As I'm dealing with the silence and false support and people it helps me to get past the ill feeling with a knowledge that dreams can be realized no matter what you think is against you as long as you keep on pressing.

I have no interest in the Madea plays to be honest withy'all but I'm thankful for what I saw yesterday.

Just Call ME Lil' Nemo

First off this has nothing to do with the damn fish. Before the name Nemo was synonymous with under water adventures, there was Little Nemo and his adventures in Slumberland. This was a classic animated movie from my childhood that got heavy play on the Disney channel. All of that back story is to say that just as Nemo navigated the realms of Slumberland only to wake up a changed person, I too believe in the ability of our dreams to reach beyond the subconscious of our minds.

I've spoken on dreams before or the visions that I've had since like high school. Well this morning I woke up from an interesting one. It wasn't a vision of something that could realistically happen. It was pure fantasy/Science fiction but it held a powerful message for me. Let me set the scene.....

I don't think its present day because I'm on a large bus. The people on board are people from my high school yrs, so I guess this was an odd field trip of some kind.
Anyway, it seems that their are these 4 rowdy females in orange jumpsuits in the back of the bus not for from where me and "my girl" are sitting. (Ummmm I never had a girl in high school soooo ummm yeah). As the apparent jail chicks get more and more unruly peopl start to make their way to the front of the bus.

At a red light we suddenly we hear screams. These females have opened the rare door and are draggin' people out of the bus. I'm barking at the bus driver asking wassup with these convicts and getting little help from him. Next thing I know these "things" have my girl....and they've turned into more zombie, undead looking beings then humans. Of course at this point I'm like "I wish you would do something to me girl." I grab her back and tell her to back to the bus.

It's now me vs them.All I have are 2 pieces of pipe from the bus but apparently that's all I need to commence the smack down and tore into these creatures. I woke up before I finished them off....

It wasn't immediate, but while in the gym it struck me that perhaps this was a subconscious move to shake me out of the funk I've been in since my recent job assignment ended. A reminder of who I am and what I've done for years.....adapt, survive, overcome and succeed.

I get it now.....back to business.

Yesterday was a good day.

So yeah yesterday was a good day for me.I completed my Human Resources course, earning my first certificate and a business deal months in the making has finally, official been completed. My company (I'm a partner)The Omega Nexus Inc has inked a partnership with a very well known actor/musician and his entertainment company. I'm waiting on the first meeting to see what direction we want to take things in but I can honestly say I'm excited.



The nerd in me has been working towards this since about 95' so this is major progress.
Any labor of love is worth the time.
