Back In Business!!!!!

After a number of set backs, mishaps and unforeseen issues, The Omega Nexus will be dropping this month. Here's some info in preparation....

All Omega Nexus related tweeting will be handled via @TheOmegaNexus. This Monday we will be opening The Omega Nexus group page on Facebook. It will be our space for news, feedback & interaction w/ the people. It will be a space not just about the ON but for all direct conversations about the genre of comics, fantasy, fiction art, story telling, etc.... Once the page opens Monday a link will be provided and invites sent out. We will be previewing the 1st 1/3 of the book ever couple of weeks into the summer. So if you don't want to pick up the book when it drops feel free to check how it starts.

 I again must really say thanks to those that stuck with us. I can promise you that you wont regret it. Again follow @TheOmegaNexus to stay connected. Billboard of Beautiful Black Child the Face of Anti Abortion Campaign

During Black History month we have the above billboard sparking conversation and outrage. Abortion is a touchy subject as is but I personally do find it a little tasteless a way to get your across. It's very much a scare tactic but I just don't like the way it attempts to villainize those that elect to have abortions. I dont think anyone could deny that there are many that use the procedure as mere birth control but I also think you turn people off to your intended message with such a crass presentation.

And that fact that it is so targeted to just US as black people is another point that I don't like. If it is a call out to "do better" then again we shoot ourselves in the foot by so publicly airing out our business.

“During Black History Month, we celebrate our History, but our future is in jeopardy as a genocidal plot is carried out through abortion,” said Life Always Board Member Pastor Stephen Broden.

Hump Day........Loves Jones

We all connect memories to things. Songs, smells, places, words can all be forever linked to a person or a particular memory.Well this instance is responsible for making it IMPOSSIBLE for me to watch Love Jones without stopping to do some major reminiscing. Maybe it was a setup or maybe she was serious but we were watching Love Jones(one of HER favorite mvoies) and things are all good.Then she start messing with me. Not sexually but in a play pest kinda of way. Just poking at me and distracting me from the movie.... "Lol.See you asked to watch this movie now you're messing with me......Yes I'm watching the movie YOU wanted so i'm focused on Love Jones." Now truthfully I did say that to mess with her but she came at me with teh perfect reply. "I can take your attention from that movie very easily"
In my head I was like"YEAH!!!! WIN/WIN situation" I replied. "Yeah ok I'd like to see you try.(literally)"

............I kept my focus on that movie for maybe 3-4 minutes before giving in to the pleasure of great "Skull-Duggery", I don't think we ever got around to watching the whole movie straight.

Hump Day.........Riverside Park/Boat Basin

There was a time when my movement didn't go further then the BX to the south or Areas of Rockland County to the north, but as time passed, with most young adults in the tri-state, Manhattan became my playground. A place to enjoy anything your heart could desire and your mind could come up with. My appreciation of the City coincided with my increased sexual comfort would result in a urge to mark various territory and expose my exhibitionist side. A friday night after a meal and some drinks, during that time period, usually lead to a relaxing walk through the Riverside Park and along the boat basin. Stopping to sit on a bench you look over down the Hudson toward teh end of Manhattan or across to the nice Jersey homes that so many of todays "keeping it real" rappers live in. Conversation is lite and playful......but steadily becomes naughty and curious. "You're not wearing what?....Oh really"...."You're kinda in the mood for what?Just a lil bit....to see how long before someone notices?Lol.I'm game if you are."



That nice summer dress is good for more then just appearances.Belt undone activity in progress apprehension, excitement and mischief all on our faces. Of course we cared little for the 1 or 2 joggers or bikers that passed by. We were in our zone but weren't making a porno in the park.Random, spontaneous and unforgettable.Cool breeze, beautiful atmosphere.Good times....

I'm in a super mood cuz' my ultra talented poet/movie writer/videographer/photographer/journalist Amazon friend Evita Robinson has earned an incredible opportunity to teach abroad in the Land of the Rising Sun. I'm so proud of this young woman. 2009 WILL BE THAT YEAR!!!!!!! We're celebrating tonight!!!!!


Side Note: This means I'll have to find my way over there to visit.....and the longest flight I've ever been on was 4 1/2 hrs.Damn.LOL.
