Mother Nature...Lady Earth.....Gaia

So last week it was the "Week that Women Ruled". Great happenings of self motivated business took place among a number of my lady friends. This week was dominated by a different type of female. "Mother Nature" decided that New York and the Eastern coast of the US overall needed to be reminded of just who's in charge. Setting off the week with a magnitude 6 earthquake in VA that had folk shaking and swaying as hear north as maine, we were put on notice early.

By week's end the nations focus returned to the east as hurricane Irene troops it's way up the coast was NYC locked in for impact by tonight. The city that never sleeps will be brought to a stand still as for the 1st time ever the mass transit system will be shut down and evacuations are currently in progress.

God willing, this time next week we'll all be enjoying a nice Labor Day weekend, laughing at the week we're currently dealing with.

Gotham vs. Mother Nature/Mr Freeze

New York avoided the Mega Winer Storm this past weekend, although it succeeded in screwing up my plans and now the powers that be have thrown a back up shot of snowy goodness that has already forced the cancellation of my intended trip to Philly tomorrow. I will be in doors doing what I do and fighting the urge to be really really pissed off. I'll try my best to channel this into positive energy.

(Unless this storm stalls out too and we get like 2 inches in which case I'll be BEYOND pissed.)

Ok I gotta pick the Super Amazonian Homie Evita up as she returns from Japan and the flight is ALREADY delayed 2 hrs due to weather. I thank global warming for fucking up this years NY Summer.

New York got a super brief early Summer tease and now its been raining for what feels like 2-3 weeks straight? Whats really good with this?Global Warming? The results of having a black man as US president????This needs to end and some warmer, nudity enabling weather needs to move in ASAP!!!!

Great Way to Start the Week
