I was long overdue but it was well worth it. The jumping, flag waving (I lost 1 of my 3 :( ), the eating and drinking was so what the doctor ordered to get me back in the frame of mind to deal with certain things at hand. Here's some imagery :) I'll definitely be returning to do this again!

Labor Day Weekend

The unofficial end of Summer is here and truthfully I'm ready for it. I got in shape to be descent in St.Croix (Next Target Spring 2011) and after the HOTTEST summer I can remember, the thought of boots, hoodies, sweaters, and long sleeves feels pretty good. That's still a lil bit away but time flies so in due time. As for this weekend and the week upcoming, if ever a man could a recharge it's me.

So I hope that the next 7-10 days provides just that.

Now first and foremost I was curious if this momentary status message was a direct of the person that posted it or words of another person. With my mind, the identity of the speaker could lead me down an interesting path of thought.

It did though produce this thought. Have I ever made anyone do anything "stupid" as a result of that interactivity. Have I ever made her act out of character due to that.

Have any of you ladies honestly done something(s) stupid as a result of or in pursuit of the "D".

Happy Memorial Day (Mini - Break)

Off to do whatever for this Memorial day. Hope everyone enjoys and keeps it safe. The BVLD picks right back up on Tuesday June 1st and with the new month begins a new phase of communication and interaction.

I swear its about 2:30pm and I really feel like I'm just waking up...not the best thing considering I've been at work since 8:30am.I guess yesterday/last night's Dell repair session took a lot more out of me then I thought. It's all good through. I'll be back in the mix soon. This is officially a cool out day, so everyone enjoy it however you can.

Things to come...

September starts off with the following for me. Labor Day weekend, Hip Hop Album release Parties, Bright Eye's Birthday celebration and Bachelors party in Atlantic City. These next 3 weeks will give me time to relax, reflect and get ready for the things I wish to set into motion. I'm excited for all of it. This will surely produce some good blog worthy material. Maybe even my own drunken chronicles????

Video Debut

Well not really. I was invited to my homegurl's club opening in the BX last month. It was nothing major, I just wanted to support a friend. But apparently the photographer/videographer(is that a word?) made a pretty nice video out of the footage and I'm in it.LOL, my man called me yesterday like, why didn't you tell me you were in a commercial.Funny guy, but hey check it out any way. You'll see me. Tall, Black and drinking. I'm Ready for my close up.LOL

Caribana Weekend in T-Dot

I was supposed to be in Toronto this weekend. Oh well......

Looking in the past to clear a Future path.....

Had a pleasant weekend. With good weather came BBQ's, Alcohol(dont need good weather for this..lol) and reminiscing about past wild times with my old high school folk. First I dipped through the streets of Mt Vernon which is always a treat....and showed love to Kream on the Industry tip at the DigiWaxx annual BBQ.



It was small industry get together. Nothing big but even checkered with a few music insider, behind the scenes makers, (wannabe)models and artists. Mims, who was/is Digiwaxx's claim to fame tried an impromptu performance but is was an true "fail" in execution and setting. Before saying my good byes I did have a very good discussion on the current crop of "artists" vs what I/we grew up on. I'll be writing about that specifically tomorrow on thehiphopdemocrat.com. But it was a pretty good time.

I then return to New Ro to touch down at my boy Joey Escobar's 29th bday gathering. This is a guy that I've known since 1st grade. We started out as enemies, as he took my glasses and left me crying in 1st grade. His pleasure was short lived as I punched him in the face and took my frames back. Since then nothing but respect. We've been thru it all party, bullshit, laughs, beef, guns, drugs the WHOLE nine. And to top it off he named his 1st born son after me....old nyc graffiti tat style.




So, after downing a couple drinks and couple shots we chatted about life.He spoke on the married life and the guys I haven't seen in a bit. And I got him caught up on me and my life. It was just ill to zone out and remember where and what you've been thru. I need more nights like this.
