She's Strung A Leak.......Views on Nudes

Just throwing this out there...I'm a fan of Nitty Scott MC but at the 4min mark she what I find to be a funny statement. All that "You don't deserve my attention..." sounds nice but when you're on a show based on giving these types of topics attention it sounds a lil off.

Politics, Infidelity & Social Attitude via Menage A Talks

I'm back on the scene for this episode of Menage A Talks. On this past show we served up thoughts on congressman Anthony Weiner, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other who's positions of power couldn't keep then from getting caught w/ their pants down. Goddess Intellect & I are joined by everyone's favorite globe trotter Evita Robinson & blogging maven Max of Max-Logic. **Side Note all members of the panel this week are Black Weblog Award Finalists w/ myself being a "contributor" to 3 finalists as well. In other words we get busy.

So just check it out if you missed it and please share with your people, networks and social circles.

Rambling at 2am......

Oh how the Man upstairs has decided to shake things up a bit.I see whats going on here...I don't expect perfections but I can only take but so many awkward moments before I have to distance myself from things....I do silence better then most.Always have,Always will....Evie questioning just who I'm follow on Twitter due to my time line comments does go to support my feeling while many folk are good people and good friends, they are equally disturbed and need not have an unfiltered public channel into their twisted minds lol. You ever get online see something and think the following? "Why don't you get the hell off the computer, stop trying to be deep and psychological, Go somewhere and actually work on your own problems?" Yeah? Me too?......Um stereotypes are real. They may not be politically correct but they do carry a lot of support behind them. And of course the Internets again show this. Think about who you know that talks or types the most about various things (food?sex?fashion?fucCery?) and see if it lines up with the stereotype...just try it......Tired of hearing about what folk want cuz they clearly don't go after what they claim they desire....Ok THAT was a surprise I'll admit it, you got me but technically I got you too. lol I think instead of being angry I'm just more inclined to cut people off. It's more efficient.... This year I need to hit at least 3 different beaches. Ideally 1 in the southern states, PR or DR and a Caribbean island, hopefully Antigua. The future success of the Omega Nexus rides heavily on me. Good. These new p90x & Insanity programs are taking their sweet time coming out. Speaking on fitness, so many people tell me I should be a trainer but I think I may attempt getting with a trainer 1st just to see what they really do. With all the various connects I have I still need a tighter connection to hotel, air travel and a tattoo artist. It really shouldn't be that hard to make happen. The 90's are really considered "old skool"???? REALLY? smh....I had a convo today where I expressed my beliefs on cartoon ethnicity so it should be known that all cartoons most cartoon ducks are black with the exceptions being Scrooge McDuck and FlintHeart GlomGold. Goofy, his wife, son, daughter, etc are all black. Wily Coyote too is a black man. Nuff Said......."The condom popped" is no longer a valid excuse. The value of the black barber shop is something that you can't sum up in words. Tumblr...where its nothing big to expose ya ass & chesticles to the masses...I feel sorry for my kids. I'ma be all up and in their online activities. I know ALL the tricks. I'm so desensitized to T&A its not even funny :/ More often then not I keep it PC as not to start arguments or make folk feel bad but my limit on some things has clearly been reached. I've always loved the 914. Great place to live. Now socially speaking I've always had to travel for enjoyment. Bx, Manhattan, etc....BUT I need folk to stop acting like New Ro is equivalent to Canada. People take trains all over the City and between all boroughs but then give me the O_O face when its time to ride 1 train 25 mins to Westchester?? In the end I just use to group my peoples. Certain things tell me a lot about folk. Your willingness to give of yout time and your money is something I don't take for granted. You took time to swing by my way? You broke bread to support something of mine or to just make me feel better. That is appreciated like none other. But when you always have a reason or excuse as to way a simple action hasn't or doesn't happen, lets just be adults and say that it ain't gonna happen. I'd rather you save me time and hurt my feelings then attempt to spare my feelings and waste lots of time.

Ok, You Toast to the A$$hole and Call Me When You're Done....

Yes, yes, yes...Kanye made a great song. He created an ode to the brass, rude, act 1st and think 2nd, self righteous jerks of our society. The guy that everyone loves to hate perfectly captured the feelings of those that despise him and simultaneously held up his own personal flag for who and what he is. A great moment in MTV music history.

Unfortunately we are now caughtt up in the follow the leader-like path that comes after many great creative moments. The general public claims it and runs it into the ground without a true understanding of what made that creation so appropriate.

Runaway wasn't a universal free pass to be rude, crude and ill mannered. Yet many of  the masses have taken it as a green light to act like they weren't raised better. Now through the safety of digital signals and worldwide distance, anything can be expressed with no need to take responsibility and stand for what you actual stand.  Under the current label of "Slander" folk don't merely give opinions, they must insult, bash and disrespect. It actually reminds of when the stigma around sex, the porn industry &porn stars in general was suddenly lifted and out the blue everyone was rocking Porn star themed t-shirts and running to tell all who will listen how good their head game was.

The main problem here is that you have to bring something to the table to balance being this grand a$$hole. If you're just a prick for the sake of it in real life the results are either isolation, physical confrontation and ultimately a lack of progress. Kanye is one of the greatest musical artists of our time. That kinda makes up for him being a jerk at times. You work a regular job and grind to pay bills like we all do. Sorry that doesn't raise you to "Acceptable A$$hole" status. Don't get me wrong have your opinion but I doubt a lot of this new mentality would exist if these communications were happening in person. They'd most likely end up like shorty in this vid.....

So as I count how many folk keep telling us to "Toast Them" via blogs, tweets and fb status' I think I'll keep my drink lowered, pour in some more Cognac and cool out in the corner. When it's once again in style to act like you have home training then I'll lift my cup to you higher then anyone.

A Woman's Walk Via Sports Talk

In an attempt to answer the timeless "Why nice guys dont win" question, I came across this passage. For a few reasons I cant link back to the source but here it is uncensored...

Women, you can look at it like sports.

Women in their 30's still think they have the value of a number one draft pickwho is in their prime. When they were in their prime and got drafted they were selfish and held out because they were like I don't want to play on that team(average good guy)even though their skill set would have matched perfectly with this team(good guy). Instead they decided to force a trade and sign on draft day to play for the glamorous team(bad guy/playa)in which their skill set was a terrible match. They end up on a team with bad chemistry and complain why they are not winning(married). They end up getting traded to another team with the same results.

Now when you look back at their 13 year career. She was a parade All American number one draft pick who never won anything(married) been traded to 8 different teams(Passed around by niggas) and injuries that hold her back(kids)While the second draft pick took the opportunity to play with the first team(good guy) and won multiple titles(married with a great husband/family) Now they are in their 30's and still trying to reupthat number one draft pickmoney. Teams(niggas) laugh at her silly ass offers..and offer her the vet minimum(Jump Off)

Obviously no one's tale is exactly the same but are their points here........Yes.

Honesty & An Openminded Question

Truthfully I liked  Runaway. I liked the music more then the imagery. Yet in a time when music videos no longer catch my attention I wouldn't mind seeing more outward creativity like this. After peeping the film I had to peep in on the Internets current insane asylum i.e the Twitterverse. (I've said many times before that you don't need to be on it to access it) For the most part the comments were positive.......maybe a lil too positive from a collection that usual is more about the asinine then the artistic. And that leaves me with the question that seems to shared by Mr. F-A-B-O etc,etc........

I think it's an honest question ......

It's Less About Him and More About You

So we get a new twist in a religious sex scandal.....it was one of us. A black guy. You know the end of the world is coming cuz things we never heard black folk doing are happening now. Anyway, a few people have asked my opinion on this so I' state my take on all this 1 time. If the allegations that are coming forward are true then "tuff break" for Pastor Long. It's an ugly, disgusting situation that will have far reaching effects especially in the minds of his church. But to be perfectly honest, when things like this happen I'm less concerned with the main figure of attention more so then I am interested in the actions or reactions of the viewing public.

You see, if things are all true then Paster Long has already cast his lot and must deal with it, but what about you? No one is making us laugh at this, no one is making us turn this into an online joke. The way folk will flock to this situation as a way to bash religion is of more concern to me then the acts of this man. People will take this instance to cast religion as corrupt, fraudulent and perverse. Even if the FACTS scream to the opposite. The problem is that the functional churches go about their business affecting change, bringing up quality people and that gets no press no attention. If you take the churches that have had scandals multiply it by 10 you would still have a low end minority percentage of the churches in this nation. But a loud, ugly minority can many times overshadow a steady silent majority. Just look at the Tea Party.

I know my church experience is a "unique one" but then again so are these over the top evils of these selective churches as well. In the midst of all this is a silent middle class of functional faith followers that need to shine light on the truth that church isn't some standard cover up for immoral base activity.

I cut the pastor no slack but I am no judge. I'm shaking my head just as much at the long distance critics and keyboard attorneys as I do at the man accused of the crimes.

Ja Rule speaks on Keeping it Real

Good points on the real definition of keeping it real as a family provider vs an entertainer/street representative.

Here comes the damn Judge......

I admit it and own it that I judge the hell outta life. You do something bad I have a feeling on it, I succeed a thought on it, I do something crazy I'm hear for you and in my own personal mental space I have a view on it. I was having this convo while returning to NY this past Sunday and it was realized that "Hey, there's nothing wrong with judging." My stance is that as long as I'm not giving and project my judgment upon another person the I'm completely free to get my judge on.

In all honesty I see our natural instinct to judge and being another part of the general common sense we are all equipped with. The internal judgment tells you to keep ya dick away from the attractive single female with 3 kids from 2 men, it tells you to pass on the party invite from the guy that is always talking about the latest fight he was in. And it works in conjunction with my trigger words to keep me from wasting time with folk who are more talk then action.

Don't get caught up in the technical wording of it. Be opinionated, be forceful in your views and JUDGE!!! Within yourself ask just how much you would want to be in the shoes of the person in question and trust me it'll help you out more then you would think. It's not about being P.C but being realistic.

Hip Hop Ain't Dead...................Part IIV: Whats an A.R

Did you know that A&R people are also responsible for Artist Development? Probably not, since these days a newly-signed artist is more likely to be stripped of their identity and given one that falls in step with what's popular or, even worse, none at all. Take Cheri Dennis, for example. While her album has a respectable amount of solid R&B tracks, we still don't know who Cheri Dennis is, what sets her apart from everyone else or even what she sounds like. But, she has earned the distinction of being signed to her label for nearly a decade with no album to speak of. .

The above passage is just one example of what artists in Hip Hop are facing in todays business climate. No more development, grass roots hands on experience in the field. Nope, the A.R's now "surf the web" looking for who has the most hits, visits and online buzz and expects any artist they encounter to basically be a ready made brand of their own before they ever do anything beneficial for them. Beneficial like signing them into a Slave....I mean 360 deal to make up for the fact the sales are so low in the game.

The fact is that just like in sports, new prospects need grooming. They need direction and training before you throw them to the loins. Shows at smaller revenues, financial and legal schooling. The industry so blatantly rapes these kids that their signing bonus should come with Vaseline. They squeeze out whatever consecutive hits they can make and toss then aside.

But thats not the case so you end up with artists trying to get on by doing this....

Question of the day: What is it about us?

This is a bit of a continuation from the extreme reactions post. Basically I know the vast majority of the women I know exclusively or at least primarily dealing with black men. I want to in as much detail as your willing to give, what is it about us that is appealing and makes us stands out from the crowd. Guys this applies to y'all too especially with everyone saying how much we don't like black women so what is it about the black woman to does it for you. I'm talking physically, mentally, socially etc....
