BET Hip Hop awards took place this weekend in Atlanta(to be aired on 10/12) and apparently the spokesman for the 2010 "Stay in School" Campaign Waka Flocka's performacne of jumping in the crowd and shaking his dreads left much to be desired in the eyes of BET big wig Steven Hill. This lead to the now common place reaction..........*wait for it*......yes, a Twitter Rant. I'm not mad at Steven HI\ill's view but could not SHOULDN'T this have been handled internally?? It's one thing if a member of the audience did this but as a part of the BET company you don't air out a situation like this that could be easily dealt with without the public involvement.

Curious what the Facebook CEO really thinks????

So a couple blatantly disrespectful and cocky IM's for 04' were unearthed from the Facebook founder himself Mark Zuckerberg......thoughts?

A series of "embarrassing and damaging" IMs from Mark Zuckerberg have been confirmed as real by The New Yorker, and by the Facebook founder himself. At issue is an exchange leaked to Silicon Alley Insider and published this past March, in which Zuckerberg explains to a friend that his control of Facebook affords him access to any personal information he might care to access on any Harvard student:

Faux vs Facts

With all the various ways to express feelings, opinions and views, I wonder if people fact check? I mean do you really take people to task for the things they put out under the label of check or social law? I think at times for the fear of negative reaction or being labeled a "hater" we don't call out folks on the blatant b.s their releasing into the air. Be it political, religious or relationship based I read and hear so many cute quotes and sayings that while they may sound good and may get a nice "You go girl" or "That's right you tell'em" type reaction...when you actually step back and look at the statements they don't make sense. The rants of a hurt soul don't automatically elevate to the status of Fact. And I think that were the sake of those more easily impressionable types there always needs to be someone out there willing to say "Ummmmm that doesn't make sense" and not just co-sign your friend blindly.

Open Marriage Humpington?????

I think I've spoken before on my disagreement with open marraiages. I would never tell a couple that practices this that their wrong but in my view it wouldn't work for me. It defeats the purpose. So anyway apparently Monika touched on this subject for an upcoming magazine interview.

An Ugly NY Memory: PR Parade 2000

It's 50+ minutes....That was some of the grimiest shit I've seen. While my boy and I had our cameras, we stayed within the actual parade path and didnt touch anyone beyond whatever mutual love was shown to us. I haven't been to the parade since then minus 2 occasions for promotional work.

I got home last night to the music blogs all dropping this "diss" track from Eminem vs. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon . I listened to it and musically & lyrically it's a ill song BUT this falls in a funny category for me. I can't cosign a grown man going in on a female for denying they had a relationship. Especially as the female has moved on and gotten married.

The Hip Hop lover in me puts Em right on top as one of the best to ever do it. But as a man he loses points for this. Is that how we behave guys? I mean yes if some I had a relationship denied it ever happened there are basically 2 rationales. A)The person means a lot to me so I'd be hurt. B)They don't mean much so you brush it off. In the event that "A" is the way you feel do you then run around "airing out" your business? I can't help but think Em is to some degree envious of he's targets this time around.

In the Club

From 2000-2008 I was a club promoter and marketing guy.I pushed parties in NY and assisted a few record labels with their promotions on albums and other projects.Cool stuff when I was younger, but greed and ego among other things made me decide to leave it alone last summer. I've been to tons of loungers and bar and the once in a blu birthday party. Or I've come through to show love to someone that's throwing a party. With the exception of being out of town of entertaining visitors do I ever really "club" anymore.

Well last nite I was asked to checking out club HOME with my boy for a possible red carpet event he is planning on throwing. I said fine......smh @ that. My evening started very chaotic in having to link up with my people and then getting to the club an hr late. With my mood already being salty I wasn't in the mood to drink (imagine that).Even with the special shots of Hennesey Dark going around I just wanted to get the work done, talk to whoever needed to be spoken too and get home.

While waiting for things to be handled I was quickly reminded of why I don't club. All the goods and bad of the party scene were on full display. You had your yummy eye candy, I was being eye sexed but this busty asian chic.(a few of u will laff at that), you had your hood rats which included one group that came with the token whie gurl that had floppy double D's falling out of her dress while grinding on various black men, you had the dirty bird that pulled her skirt up to "drop it fast" never once showing any issue with exposing her baggy panties and ashy legs, you had the "ballers" and celebs of which Ms Steph Lover was looking very nice and you had random people you know (classmates, coworkers,etc) that you haven't seen in years.

Overall I'd rather be in bed getting a massage........don't know if this event will be set up or not.If it does I'll see what the potential profit is from it but oh man was I happy to get home. And even though I'm now running on about 2 hrs of sleep It interesting to see the growth in my social interaction. In spite of the T & A and the interesting looks and stares I was getting it, its' really YOU that makes a party. That's why I love when I get to chill with Mz.J or my trips to Sobe with the fellas. As you get older its more about the people your with then the noise of the venue.

Why is it so hard for men to understand struggling single mothers?

Why do they insist on pestering us to go on dates and be with them? What makes them think theyre so special? The way I feel is if you want to take a struggling single mother on a date, you better be paying for the entire date AND the babysitter, and understand that we need to get back to our kids immediately after the date. I know as a (again i say) STRUGGLING single mother, I dont feel i have any business going out of town with you for a night, so what if you buy the outfit, that's not paying my bills or putting a roof over our heads or putting diapers on my baby's behind! I'm sorry but if a man wants my attention he needs to realize that there is no such thing as a fairytale relationship its a financial partnership these days too.
